Low Water Shut off Switch for Buffer Tank

Anybody using a low water shut off switch of sorts to keep employees from not paying attention to water levels and running pumps dry? This is for residential really some water pressure at homes is terrible and the screaming 8gpm will go through her quick even with 2 feed hoses.

I only know there is float valves to stop your tank from over flowing but never heard of the opposite. Does anyone know? I wouldn't mind getting something like this installed on my rigs if there is such a thing. Good question Jason! Nice Avatar!! haha

I think this maybe the sort of thing that you are chasing, they are called a Madison Liquid Level Switch.

I also think that saw a youtube clip on how to install them sometime ago.

Yes Greg exactly the liquid level switch is what a carpet cleaner told me about also. Was going to order a couple didn't know if anybody tried them and liked them. I found them here http://liquidlevel.com/products_switches_standard_hz.htm#sidemount_plastic.

I have a liquid level switch on my supply tank hooked up to my Honda 670. The problem I have is when the water level drops the switch cuts off the engine but when the water level goes back up the engine wont restart. It seem the reeds in the switch arc and stick together. I talked with the manufacturer and they said to hook the switch up to a relay to cure that problem. i just haven't had time to figure out how to wire the relay. So I have been running with the switch disconnected.

Go to youtube and search FCPWLLC its Michael Krislie (sorry Michael if I spelled your last name wrong) He has a video of a float valve that shuts your machine off when the water is low.It like the one listed above but he tells how it works and where you should mount it.
