Live from Myrtle Beach... It is the Jeff and Ron Show!!

Man, it was great meeting everybody!

Mike, you are one cool dude, I enjoyed meeting you and talking for way too long! (for the guys that were waiting on you!)

My only regret is that I don't think I got to talk to everybody there, and that there wasn't more time to talk with the people I did get to speak with. I could have gone on for another week at the rate I was going!

It was a great event, and positive all the way around!

There were many shortened discussions and conversations, so I just want to let everybody know that my contact info is in my signature, call or get in touch however you like.

Thanks again Jeff, you have raised the bar, and are a great guy!

And a speciaql thanks to Ron for all he did, and for setting the precedent Friday on what time the days would end for me! I never saw my room before 2 in the morning all weekend!

Seriously, Jeff and Ron worked like butchers this weekend and deserve a great deal of credit and thanks for a productive good time.

I am already thinking of how to make this a better event next year

ATTENTION _ I already have 2 Managers and a Head of Engineering lined up for next year....How cool is that. Just this morning I met with one of the best PM's I know a very, very smart and nice PM his main maint guy and a Friend of mine who handles all kinds of properties. I was telling them about the event and they volunteered to speak at next years round table. These guys here know the importance of Preventative Maintenance. One of the PM's is a great public speaker. This will add so much to a PM Round Table. I'm excited about it

Thank again Len, look forward to seeing you agian and best of luck in 2009

I just wanted to thank Jeff and Ron and Carlos and Scott and Tegrey and and and....it was my first round table, and it will take a few more days to digest everything learned and discussed. I highly recommend these to anyone who hasn't been to one yet, it will really put the wheels to the ground on the vehicle of success!

Isaac I think you may have traveled further than any PW contractor to go to any Round Table ever. I am glad you enjoyed it and I truly hope the info helps you have a great 2009. if you have any questions that I can help with just let me know

Wow.....What an event!!

Everything was A+++

Ron and Jeff worked way to hard though, and they also absorbed a great deal of $$$ cost, and for that we thank you!

I could reiterate all of the positive feedback that has been posted, but instead I will just agree with everyone, and thank everyone for making this past weekend one of the most important tools I purchased this year.

To Ron and Jeff: Thank you for the personal time spent with Richard and I on Sunday cleaning up, that was great dialogue. And next time let's raise the price a little and hire some stage hands so that the Rock Stars can get their rest!!!

Thank you, for your kind words!
Many may not know how hard Ron really worked on this. Forget about the countless hours and yes days getting ready for this event prior to even setting foot in Myrtle Beach. Friday the day before the event we came into the meeting room at 5-6 pm and the whole room was set up completely wrong. the room was totally turned around and just squished together. I was real pissed at the hotel sales manager, who was no longer there that day, Ron was too but handled it better and he said we will take care of it later. well we had a meeting with the speakers that night and after that I had mentioned that there was get together for anyone who wanted to meet in the lounge. Ron said for me go do that, I did and we all had drinks and some great networking. Ron popped in for a minute here and there. I figured he was going back and forth just doing stuff. I didn't want to stay out to long and feel like crap so I left at about 10pm and just figured we would take care of it quick in the morning.
The next morning I was up at 5am and I called Ron, he sounded like he was just waking up and I said I will be over soon. Ron said come on and call him. I got to the meeting room and was amazed that the whole room was switched around and all the audio/visual was set up, he had gone out got cords TV's and everything he needed, things were posted on the walls etc etc etc etc and the room looked workable and damn good I was amazed.

Then my wife showed up at 6:30 and she was amazed too, then Jeff Of Palmetto Roof came into the room as my wife Lisa, my worker Derek and I were putting out the books and setting up the JL coffee cups. Jeff then told me they had worked ALL night up to 3:30 -4am setting up the room, switched around about 3-4 times to get it right WOW WOW WOW. Of course I thanked Jeff and realized Ron got no or very little sleep before I called him. He never once bitched about either did Jeff of Palmetto (Thanks Jeff). Ron did all this so me/we ALL could have a great event, he knew I was a little excited and yes a little stressed so HE/RON took care of all of it.

Thank you Mr. Ron Musgraves for being a damn good guy and all the hard work. Ron is that guy that does WHAT EVER it takes to get the job done and done right. Thanks Ron.

As for my part, I from the beginning asked Ron to help with this RT, I was new to this type of thing and I would need help. I knew Ron would step right up, he was doing other RT's and I believe in going to an expert when I need help. Ron and i spent hours on the phone many days and nights talking about the event, setting it up. At the beginning I figured we would get 30-40 contractors and the bigger it got the more excited I got and then it just kept getting bigger in attendees.

As for the money spent. Ron put out some bucks, he also set up the vendors and many of them gave some great giveaways. I knew from the BEGINNING I was also going to put out some bucks and I wanted to. I wasn't going to even charge the $19.50, but i figured we had to charge something, so we knew how many really planned on coming and we could get the food numbers right.

I took this on because I wanted all to learn, network and I wanted al to have a good affordable time. I LIKE A PARTY. This pressure washing industry and the business boards have been very good to me and helped me grow my business. I wanted to give back especially this year in the kind of hard economic times. My main goal was to make this AFFORDABLE for any and all that wanted to come to the event. I love this industry and like the people on the BB's all you guys and gals. I had some call and ask what was on the schedule, that they really couldn't afford to come but wanted to come and LEARN and have a good time too. That made me realize how lucky I am and made me want to work harder at this event, so all that wanted to come veterans and newbies

SIDE NOTE, thats why I got mad when someone started spreading a WRONG rumor/lie that I was getting a kickback from the hotel on room rates, NOT, HA HA HA , If I wanted to make money I sure would of charged more than $19.50. I also was a little disappointed at all the rumors that Ron had an agenda, if he did so what, but he didn't he wanted to also get contractors together and network, sure he wants to have a network of contractor I do too. There is still some that are trying to talk crap about the event, even now. But as Ron and I said who cares, there will always be some little person talking crap or those that will be negative, its just how it is.

I & Ron wanted to have a good event, We know we did, was it perfect? no, was it damn good, yes. I had a great flipping time a really, really great time. So from the feed back I think Ron & I achieved what we wanted to, for all that came a good learning and networking event was had by all and that is COOL. Round tables are important for our industry, they help all of us in many ways. I hear people say, we raised the bar or this RT or this one will be hard to top ( kind of funny and yes, nice). It isn't about that at all, its about all past & future round tables, small or large nation wide or local Round tables. Most all of us are hard working men & women with dreams & desires to be business owners, to have a part of the American dream or running your own business and thats what these Round Tables do, they give us tools and networking connections that can help us grow, whether its your dream to have a nice little business or a larger more complex business

All I have to say is have a round table, go to a round table, learn, network & have fun in life because LIFE IS GOOD

Once again, thank you all for coming to Myrtle Beach, I am still smiling, ya I know I'm kind of a geek lol! AND once again thank you to all that helped and offered help, Thanks Jeff & Rachael of Palmetto, Thanks to Kory, That to Nancy Vicars, Thanks to Mike Cooke, thanks to everyone else the list is long.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Ron Musgraves, lets do it again next year my friend, go get some rest. You all better watch out by then Ron will be the Round Table KING and we'll really show you a show. I'm thinking laser lights, fireworks, maybe have it declared national round table week maybe even have the President come and speak OK OK Maybe I'm getting a little out of hand LOL LOL

Hope to see you all at another RT somewhere in the USA. Anyone have any questions if I can help I will

Sorry for the long post, but I'm kind of an excitable guy when I get in front of the keyboard.

Thanks
Jeff...TFPWKOMB

I want to thank all that came

Those where good Photos
I just returned to the hotel from the first day of the round table. I have been to many, spoken at a few and helped plan several. If there were an olympic event for PW Round Tables..... This would be one to beat. Below is my take on it and personal opinions, In no way am I contrasting and comparing the event to the other RT's, I have never been to a bad event.

The setting: Professional atmosphere, comfortable room, great lunch.

The Speakers: Five Star. See below

UAMCC: This organization is off to a great start. The organizational framework that they discussed and presented was well done. Carlos has a clear vision of what the UAMCC needs to be and what it need to do for contractors. One thing that was evident to me is that he has masterfully put together a team that will (and is) make it happen. I am excited about this organization in the upcoming future.... I suspect great things are about to happen!

Jeff LaCours: For someone to stand in front of 2 dozen NC/SC contractors and tell them (and all of the others in attendence) how to access a market that will compete with him is a testament to his character. I left the event today with a wealth of information from Jeff that justifies in itsself, the cost of the trip, airfair and such. This information is worth a lot of money..... To leave just one lecture with enough information to access HOA and a whole new market for my business and 2009 business plan is priceless... What is it worth to you? And as a plus, he is a great public speaker.

Robert Hinderliter: I have heard Robert speak before. As Jeff is the Condo King, Robert is the Clean Water Act / BMP king. Very informative and detailed presentation. Thanks Robert.

Ron Musgraves: Kick A$$ presentation.... Powerpoint presentation slides were awsum. The work he put into this event was obvious. The planning, atmosphere and setuo was comparable to Nursing Conferences that I have attended that cost me $500-$800 dollars. While many of us were in the bar "networking" last night, Ron was in the classroom with one of his employees creating a professional atmosphere that was condusive to learning. The information that Ron shared was also invaluable. In Ron's presentation, he gave information on how to make money in the commercial service area, there was no hidden agenda, no catch line.... For someone to put this much information out to the industry and fellow contractors is unheard of.... Cleary deserving of a heartfelt kudos and thank you!

Tomorrow will be another cool day with the demonstrations. There are many many many pressure washing toys here that would make any contractor envious (including me). John T has his swabby here, Sunbrite has a riding surface cleaner, and there are some pretty cool rigs in the parking lot...

See some of the classroom pictures below...

Look for one of these event in an area near you!
