Sirocco Vacuums

I'm interested in hearing the good and possibly the bad.

Jerry is a distributor here and I know he can take negative comments if there are any.

I want to know about this product, if you have one or your thinking about getting one please do it here.

Thanks for your help

Ron
I would like to see what happens after you clean a garage floor with the system. Maybe a round table could have a true demo of a whole floor of a parking garage that is pretty dirty and oily.....

I have (for now) the PEV2 system, I like it, easy to use, compact and great suction.

I also have a oil water seperator, the one I ordered only had 1 filter, I have since added 3 more 4.5 x 20 polishing filters and 1 4.5 x 20 carbon filter, we have a live hose reel.

Below you can see the oil water seperator and the filters we added, there is one mor that has its own bracket and is mounted beside the OWS

I wish I had video of TEXAS, it was truly a great demonstration of good equipment.

Nice Photo Russ

I would like to know more about them... options, space requirements (on flatbed/trailer), issues with lift onto back of flatbed, cost/interval of filter replacement, etc.

... oh yeah, and price!! :winknudge:

Jerry's Here , I'm certain he will either tell you here or give you a call.

Does mean you are selling to get another brand or just up grading maybe in the future?
How does the ows keep up in heavy oils Russ...?

Russ... a few questions for you...

do you run a vacuum surface cleaner (if so, which one) or are you just using a berm?

How big is your trailer?

Is that a pressure pro hot box?

sorry for the bombardment!! :thumbup2:

I saw one in action at the texas RT and it was awsome. I want to build one for my own but have alot of questions so for now i am just learning.

This one is moving to a smaller trailer (16 foot) that has 1 washer, thats all this system can handle

I have spoken to Jerry and we are looking at a much larger system for the mobile wash trailer, the new one will be 26 to 28 feet, more than likely the SGV4-23 or the SGV4-31, ONE has a 23 horse Vanguard the other a 31 horse Kohler, we will have 2 live hose reels with 200 feet of hose on each and 2 vacuum surface cleaners and a larger OWS.

For now just the berm with a bunch of sand snakes, drain covers, oil socks ect.

Yes that is a PP hotbox

And that trailer is 20 feet long but we are going to do another one and sell this one, I already talked to my buddy I buy them from and we are going to do a 26 or 28 foot to go with the new recovery system and it will also add another 525 gallon tank.

I just picked up another F350 this week for the road running duties its a King Ranch edition with the new diesel (NICE!) The hitch will be installed tomorrow for the gooseneck. PICS COMING:pleasantry:

oh I even have a 12volt refrigerator for the trips too! Sandwiches and drinke while we cruise baby!

I have local stuff I dont do but on the stuff out of the state I simply cant or wont stay home, on about half of them I have to be present anyway and if I am there I know its done right, I would be pissed if I had to drive to Virginia for something stupid 3 weeks after the fact.:banghead:

I have also been trying to find something that can handel the heavy duty grime that 4 to 6 machines will create in garage .Ido have a 8-24 alkota oil water solids coalescing system that we use a sump pump and socks etc.i would like to use a heavy duty vac.And i am trying to decied what other type of filters to ad.also i want a smaller set up for one of my graffiti trailers.anything work well with chemicals

We use one on interior tile floors.. It works great .. 22 inch surface cleaner vac and the Sirocco Vac unit.. Cuts time by 2or so hours.. We used too use a suface cleaner and a pump out vac with two people squeeging water into a central location that the vac was setup in.. Having the vac unit saves alot of time..ill get some video when we use it again

Filter Modules, and SMALL-footprint SGV

Hi guys ! ..I've been listening !
That's how our systems got "modular" in the first place.
I've been listening to contract cleaners since '86 ..
If you need "dirt-load capacity" added to your existing sytem,
add-on one of our pre-plumbed, filter modules..
e-mail me for info.
I'll get that doc on my website REAL soon.
EVERYTHING about our systems is modular..
our service department up-grades "others' systems" too.
We will never waste your time.

one more thing.. we've added a vertical version of the Gas-Engine vac..
the 7 to 16hp version has a 18 x 18" footprint.
e-mail me for images.

Several new, time-saving, profitable tools are available !

I love my job..
I make you more profitable.

We have a PEV2, and the OWS as well, and it works real well. We added some additional filtering media in the OWS (oil only pillows), and ditched the dolly the PEV2 is mounted on.

Two issues that come to mnd:
1- Precleaning (dry methods) is very important when recovering waste water. The vacuum filter will clog quickly if this is not done.

2- The berm that comes with the system is IMHO worthless. We've switched to simply attaching a screened puddle skimmer to the end of the vacuum hose, and it works well.

We also have a Mosmatic vacuum surface cleaner 21" and it works great. A little tougher to use because of the suction, but it eliminates rinsing. Our method of recovery is to ensure all drains are covered and then we pick up all the water at the end of the job from wherever it collects. This saves a ton of time moving berms and fumbling with recovery equipment. It also allows a single operator to do recovery efficiently. If I purchase more equipment, I'd opt for the SGV vs. the PEV2. This system requires a good sized generator.

All said, I give Sirroco a thumbs up. Purchased from Sunbrite......

I want to know who the first person was to buy a Sirrocco system?
I bought my original one in 2001 I think, while they were still in Santee. The drum was grey, not red. I also had one of the first couple of double electric vacuum motors. I don't think that they had the gasoline powered vacuums at the time.

oops, just looked, it was when you were at the old shop and were still operating as Cleaning System Specialist, in July 2001.
