If everyone stuck to thier prices as mentioned above, we would all be making a good livin.
One hit me yesterday (Sunday) I estimated a Residential Exterior Cleaning on Saturday and gave my price. Today the customer called to set up the job. He also told me, my competitor (closest) came out on Sunday, he even went to the extream of demostation for the customer. To top it off he was cheaper. Customer would not give me that info but said he was cheaper.
Needless to say, this customer wants to know everything under the sun about chems, equipment, knowledge, insurance etc.... What he claims sold him on us was our equipment when we pulled up, our quick response time, our knowledge on the visit even to the point of artillery fungus, and last but not least he liked our website.
Present yourself/company as a professional and stick to your guns. There are those that will see through all the bullsh**. As this one has and spend some time with your potential customers. This is what they are looking for. Know your environment and you will succeed. But as mentioned, you did not lose on the above job. Dont sweat it.....
