Lands pw burner not working

Hey guys...love the forum. A little help is needed. I am looking to buy a used landa pressure washer. The guy selling it used to use it commercially but has gone into another business. He said he thinks the burner is out because the water isn't getting hot. Any help on this would be great. Thanks

Could be several things. There is an old post on here that has a video about burner repair. I think the video was from Delco. Could be igniter, fuel pump, filter etc. Is it getting fuel?

good luck

Well, I could sit and write a book about what might be wrong with it...

...but, let's start with a little information. Is it 12 volt or 120? Does the blower motor start when you turn it on? Pressure switch? Flow switch? Thermostat or high limit or both? Is the battery good? Is the generator putting out electricity? Is there fuel in it? Hose clamps tight? Clean fuel filter?

Let's get that info and go from there.

Go to your user cp and fill in a signature...house rules

It could be a number of things causing the water to not heat.Flow/pressure switch, fuel solenoid, bad trans former/ignitor. etc etc etc.
I suggest you give Russ Johnson a call he is a master with pressure washing and equipement and a pretty dang good guy to boot.

thanks for the responses. if i choose to replace the burner how much would that cost.

neil

Too much. There are far too many things that can go wrong to think that you need to replace the whole thing. The most expensive part is around $150 plus labor.

start with buying a pressure gage for the fuel pump,

"try" to have a "working" relationship with your local service center..
Not all know know it all, but give 'em a chance..
start with buying a pressure gage for the fuel pump,
and buy a copy of "operating Instructions" for the basic troubleshooting info.
Respect the tech. ..and don't hurt yourself in guesswork.
