Just shoot me

My friend just called two days ago. He was following Irwin Shiff who teaches people to file an empty form with just a signature because he claimed that the constitution doesn't allow federal taxes on income.

Well, Irwin is in Jail now.

My friend didn't file right in 2006 and 2007. He as on $250k salary both those years, but stopped all federal withholding from his paychecks. This year he started his own business and grosses $100k per month.

Two days ago he called to ask for my help. The IRS sent him a certified "intent to lien" on his bank accounts. He immediately got online to move money around and they had zero'd out all his accounts including the ones for his two corporations. He has over $100k in checks outstanding right now.

I don't know how much they took, but they wiped him out in one day.

Filing is a pain, but it could be worse.
 
Yes can be worse like black & white stripped suite that makes anyone look fat. But there has to be better program that income tax system that was brocken when it first started why can we not go to national sales tax or flat tax those both seam to work better that income tax with its mainy tax codes.
 
Get a CPA. Costs us $300 and he does both our businesses, and both of our personal. Ours were done and all we had to do was sign the papers.

It costs me $1000.00 every year for my Buisness & Personal Taxes to be done. It has been 15 yrs and i have not gone to Prison yet on Taxes so it's all good.
 
I use Q Books for everything and after you get use to it, LIFE will become much easier for both you and the CPA. I do all my own books until tax time then off to my CPA for his Judgment on my work LOL
 
Get a book keeper. She reconciles all of our accounts and receipts, and packages it in a pretty package for the CPA...$300/quarter
