Just curious??

I can see your point. It wouldnt be worth it for someone to drag all there equipment to a parking lot for a Demo and aquire one sale.
There must be a reliable equipment supplier willing to offer discounted prices consistantly for the members?
Does Delco offer such things to members considering they are currently partnered with IKECA?

Oh and what the heck is BASMAA? Something to do with wastewater management?

The Bay Area Stormwater Management Agencies Association (BASMAA), is a consortium
of seven San Francisco Bay Area municipal storm water programs. ...

The PWNA has a "vendor discount program" where several of our supplier/manufacturer members offer discounts to members. www.pwna.org

Thank you Mike.

With organizations like BASMAA sooner or later all large cities are going to require some sort of professional training.
For the catching and treatment of waste water.

Hey Ron M. Even though Arizona does not require any certification. They must have some guide lines for washing?
Being as arid as it is down your way seems like they would have some kind of water restrictions?

I understand that all places have restrictions, Thought things mite be a little tighter down there because of draught and such?

They don't have a water problem-just too many swiming pools and golf links.

But what am I getting for my hard earned dollar?
Do any of the organizations provide the following?
Networking for new accounts(Referal service for those belonging to the organization)
How about a mass mailer to the restaurants in your back yard telling them we are a Professional Organization Set forth to educate and to provide them with a professional to service there needs.Showing your potential client base of your Professional Training(provided by the organization) A contact marketing stategy to where the organization looks for new leeds for you in your area.
Deep discounts to those that belong to the Association. As far as equipment updates or the purchase of supplies Etc.
A once a year gathering of all members,All expenses paid with the dues you sent in!
Bi- Monthly mailers to all members.

CHDCA

With exception fromthe all expense paid trip to Nashville, you have to drive yourself. And the mailers are quarterly.

Josh- Please. give us a break. You have upfront cost along with % fee based on jobs that come from the mailer. Deep discounts on item that do not have a set value, otherwords discount on chemicals that have a high suggested retail. Example what is your cost on a 100 ft. single wire hose?

Look you guy fly BBQ land and have a meeting at Rustys house-thats what the pictures show. Unlike other groups that have 1-500 people attending and meet at the Hilton. Not the same sorry.

how many guys certified and by who?

The original post, please guys thats all i asked.. i just wanted to know if anyone was affiliated and why thye felt it was important mauybe to them.

Organizations are great if you use them for your benifit or donate money because youi belive the cause.

Sorry to have gotten off topic Ron. So ok. NO I am not a member of any organization or certified by any state, county, or other LEGITIMATE organization.
I do however have 14 years of in the field experience.
So would I be considered a Professional in my field?
Or do I have to take some course from others who are less qualified than myself?
Does this qualify me to open up my own Training program?
Others have done this with alot less experience.

And i would also like to know what Josh is paying for his supplies
Chemicals-Hoses-Etc. The whole She-Bang. LOL:D

I don't buy my all my stuff from Rusty. I have found local suppliers for my supplies.

David- It's not Wal-Mart, it's Rusty-Mart. I guess I should have edited the deep part out of the discounts. The discounts may not be deep, but they are discounts.

The annual meeting is at Roger's, very well landscaped, back yard. The point is we have an annual meeting, Hilton or not. We are also going to the General Jackson Showboat the night before the reunion. Maybe someday we can do opera instead.

We all know that real hood cleaners stay at the Hilton and watch opera:D

Sorry Ron for infecting your post with CHDCA. For some reason it always stirs things up.

No one has ever said that you must be a member so that you could be recognized as a professional cleaner. We are saying that you could enhance your standing within the community of cleaners.

Now, that alone means nothing, however you will pick up ideas, concepts and knowledge that you may or may not have. Why? because the ideas come from all across the nation.

IKECA has put together a manual-take a look-see what new.

Ok David. I,ll bite. lol I have been looking over the IKECA sites and I belive its the way to go as far as Pro Hood Ceaners are concerned.

Once you get more member, then you must find something other than his backyard and a plate of ribs-that is my point. When it starts to cost, then you will be at the Holiday Inn or the Hilton. In fact IKECA was held in Chicago at the downtown Holiday Inn. The Hilton was filled by teachers by the way.

Local price is always the best way to go. Eight more months Josh-football

Thankyou all, we can all differ from our opinions, I believe thats what makes us stronger.

as long as we remain pros,,, I myself get out of line from time to time.

Thanks,,,
