Just a common question about a tank valve

Ok in the photo below there is a 60 gallon drum I use as a water tank.. It has 2 -- 2 inch holes ( 1 on top and one on bottom ) my bypass hose goes in the top and I have a air hole at the very top center to keep the pump form sucking the drum together.. I wonder if they make a float valve assembly that will go into the 2 inch hole on the side somehow so I dont have to cut a hole into the top of the tank ?

Get a real tank and you will not have those problems, Even a 65 gallon tank will fit in that spot and come with a lid, bulkhead at the bottom and you can then add a float valve along with a bulkhead for feed and then add your bypass fittings as well.

Not sure about the float issue, but if you're worried about having the hole at the top of the tank for dirt/debri reasons, you might be able to go to Home Depot and get some pvc fittings that thread into the hole (short tube, then nut on the inside and outside to secure the tube), then just use pipe glue and attach a peatrap (upside down U shape pvc). Then it will vent, but keep your tank cleaner.
