I've never been called out for jury duty David and there are reasons for that. Hahahaha. In the past it was the other way around!

I've always said one of the major things wrong with the system is reasonable level thinking people always weasel out of jury duty. Then they end up with Oprah watching dimwits finding OJ not guilty (the first OJ trial).
It's become so bad up here if you fail to show they send a Sheriff out to your house. It will get interesting with all the "new registered" voters being called in.
Glad to see you doing your civic duty David. I've heard some really tough cases involving children etc that are hard to sit through but I'm glad someone is willing to deal with it.
FYI 90% of the time the case will be settled just prior to seating the jury.

Called once 15 years ago.They asked if I believed in the death penalty and when I responded yes the defense attorney had me excused.
The case involved a guy who shot and killed a store clerk execution style over $45.It was all on tape,he was caught with the gun and yet he was still just a suspect.

Been to 2 jury selections.....got sent home from both. The panel was asked if anyone in our family had been a victum of a crime against them.....After telling them my wife was rob at a bank while working as a teller by a black male they let me go both times........this is a try story, not made up to get out of jury duty!!!
I got in the mail yest a questionaire for another selection process. Guess my number has come up again. They could have done this 2 months ago when I didnt have a job. Would have loved to have something to do.

i got the calling for federal jury duty, for a guy that was traffiking drugs and selling and making...a week long, to learn what car you can conceal the most dope in and how to cook up a batch. it was really interesting though..
