The ads TGS bring in money so the more posts you get, the more ads pop up and the the more money gets made. If it is done right you can live very well off of it. Why would they post on this board, when they can get a whole new discussion going on theirs that puts money in their pocket? She could have simply said hey check out this great game over at PWI and posted a link like Ron does all the time over here.
 
I'm not sure but I think I got my hand spanked for mentioning that it was on other boards.

Is Russ also self promoting? The game started on Cleaning Talk...Why not just post a link here talking about the game over on CT??

Based on what I've seen of your posts, and your reactions, you have a bit of growing up to do.

And what's wrong with trying to drive up posts to generate income? These boards cost money!

What do you care whether the ads are pressure washing related (and they are) or not?? Why do you care???

The point being, they're not free to run. Some folks sell products, some sell ad space, others, like you, do it for free. Either you foot the bill, or you generate money to pay the cost of the software, hosting, bandwidth, etc.
 
Whoa there Mike!!

This is why we enjoy this board........ FREE EXPRESSION!!!! I do not agree with Ron or Grant or any other member here on everything. I email them, call them or PM them, shoot I've even flown thousands of miles to the mainland to learn from them hands on. They do not spank me or make me stand in the corner, or put my nose on the wall because I have a different opinion. For the record I am not anti-other board, I've made lots of contacts there. I am however anti-censorship.

I have no problems with you Mike nor do I have issues with 99.7% of other board members, so please let's not bring the Holier Than Thou to this board.

I am glad you are permitted to express your thoughts here Mike.

Anyone that owns a bbs can obviously run it however they see fit. That being said, censorship and lame excuses like 'returning the thread to the original topic' through self-serving editing does and will have an adverse effect. If 'off topic' was the case, many threads would need to be constantly edited. I actually enjoy going to the bbs in question, for the most part. However, telling everyone that it's an 'open' forum then creating obvious contradictions simply because of subjective views is eroding the confidence and support of the membership. It's not the first time it's happened, and most likely not the last.

The pro-org hand constantly gets overplayed, which does nothing more than re-iterate and validate the beliefs of those who already question it's viability.

The tone could've certainly been different on both sides, however.

I think it should just be dropped especially over here.

I was quickly gigged here as well immediately which was way out of line.

No one knows the WHOLE story and no one knows the phone calls and emails I've received including from the higher ups in the "Org".

It's over, done with, I am not afraid when I walk to my car in the parking lot. No one has boiled any bunny rabbits so it's on to different things.

Enjoy your free expression here and on the other objective boards out there!!:D
