is this worth it ?

Hi there
came across this "deal" and just wanted to check here since I haven't seen this brand a lot.
Is a direct drive 4k Psi 4GPM Honda 13hp, electric starter w/battery, mounted reel w/hose. The whole she-bangs $1000.

I Clean windows as you can see, pressure washing is an upsell I cannot close all the time at the price I want, so this will be used but not abused, that's why I'm not worried about the direct drive right now.

Thanks for looking

Looks good to me. Don't worry about the "brand". It's the components that matter. It looks like it has a CAT pump. As long as it is in good shape. Looks like it is in the pic. I might be off... But I think that setup would be around $1700 if it was new. Maybe more... I'm sure the others will chime in.

You can buy a Dewalt or John Deere 3,750psi 4GPM at Lowes on sale for $699 with a 1 year warranty but no electric start. You can also buy used belt drive units for under $1k here at pawn shops that are much more reliable with the ability to run a bypass line, but don't know what your local market is like.

Those Dewalt and John Deere machines usually have unloaders that are built into the pump (not a good thing). The electric start, battery, hose and reel are worth something, too. You can also run a bypass with that machine. I run two of them. The direct drives are not the best. I know that now. They just are not as durable. But for the way you say you will use it, it should serve you well. If you don't know what to look for, take it to a shop and have it checked out. I think you are fine if it checks out. Good luck!

Why do you need a pressure washer to wash windows? When I 1st started my business 15 years ago I washed windows & never used a pressure washer. If you are going to use it to pressure wash houses you need a commercial grade power washer & they start at $1300 up. They also last more than twice as long as cheap residential power washers.

Good luck fellow Katy man.:eek:k:

Hey Marcus
No way i'd use a pressure washer to clean windows, that's a huge NO-NO

Is for a few driveways and some house washes for actual customers.
I know the difference between a pro grade machine and this, but to be honest for what I need it and my budget this will do just fine.
Actually I was looking for something like "stay away of that for this and that" kinda of advice, and it didn't happen :)

See ya around Marcus :)

I honestly don't see how they can advertise 4.9gpm and 4000psi on an engine that is only 13hp.

Sounds like the machine from the other thread you were talking about David????

I guess for that price, get their warranty and you just never know.

You could "T" two of them together and get some good flow for a Big Guy surface cleaner or run 2 smaller classic size surface cleaners and not be out a lot of money.

When you think about that price.....you can buy an immitation Honda clone typically for about $300.00, the pump for about $300 and then the rest of the stuff.....I don't see them making a lot of profit off these but maybe if they are cheap immitation pumps, not name brand pumps.

If it was a Cat, General, AR, etc.... I would buy it but if it is a chinese brand that has no name, I just don't know about the dependability.

Just my opinion.

I have had good luck with a lot of things I bought there like 1/2" heavy duty drill, it is almost indestructable, Chop saw is great, sanders are good, 8gallon tank air compressor is good, their upright 21gallon tank air compressor threw a rod and was out of warranty, maybe I can use the tank for something like a spare tank for the other machine.

You might get lucky David, let us know how it turns out.

Hey Marcus! Thanks for the M5! It really came in handy for that 20k square foot house which they finished today.
