At a job in DC i bumped into another contractor. He uses the Ipad. He does everything with it. I was impressed. Goal for next year.

I have been wanting to do that very same thing for a while now, just have to get the IPAD soon so I can do that.

I hear that there are a lot of other brand tablet type pc's and other similar devices but have been told that they are not as good.

I really like the idea of just handing them the IPAD and letting them watch a very short slide show or video.

I would bet the Ipad 1 will be a lot less this Christmas as the prices has already come down.

I moved to one in April and love it. Customers love the slideshow we created on " pages." I understand there is also an ap for "go to my pc" available now too, but have not personally used it yet. First week I had it it paid for itself with my ability to immediately answer an email, go to google maps and send back a quote while I was sitting in a trade show 400 miles from home.

Love the Ipad. Just picked up the Netflix ap. Needed special adapter ($39) and can watch a ton of movies on my home tv for $8/mo. Just purchased the Logmein ap but have no clue how to connect to my home pc. Can anyone throw me a lifeline?

Just browse thru the business sections of iTunes and you'll find all kinds of goodies you can't live without! You can invoice, email, scan, fax, setup a free separate line for business, I just downloaded an app from Intuit that allows you to take credit card payments. They even send you a free credit card scanner that plugs into it. If you have to use walmarts service channel you can access it from there also. Pictures and video look amazing on it but they're only the tip of the iceberg. I have the same apps on my iPhone 4 also, you can literally run your business from your phone. Lemme know if you get one and need any help with the setup.

I'm obviously late since there is an IPad 2 now but i just picked up an IPad 1st edition for $250 w a bluetooth keyboard and case. I am going to start trying it out on sales pitches now too. Got mine jailbroken.
