Insurance needed

Never had a claim, now my insurance man said I could no longer clean my exhaust hoods with a pressure washer, he said only would be covered when I wipe by hand, PLEASE....

Joe walters no longer carries vent-a-hood insurance, so I called all policy holders, everyone has been telling me the same...

would a umbrella policy cover something like this...

most restaurants want a 2,000,000 policy to cover thier loss...

Any Ideas?

I think your insurance company needs an education, what would they rather have to pay out on, water damage on the off chance something gets wet, or for a whole new restaurant when one burns down because they would not allow you to clean it properly. In 15 years the only thing I got wet that was permanently damaged was a computer monitor.

I had the same insurance issue a little while back, I don't think my carrier is in your area though, I will check.

I agree with you on this that they need some education on this subject... They think just because I do clean it that it will just start on fire...
Heck I will take one of the three things that will start a fire out of the senerio...

Called the AHJ, and he thought that I was trying to pick up work, also felt I was try to grill him on his thoughts on how a system should be cleaned...

Touch people these insurance guys and the AHJ are!!!

My broker got me insured by Loydds of London when I got dropped.
 
Thanks to those that replied, I picked more insurance today at about 900.00 for the year... What I big challenge this was...

I lost one account on lose of insurance, now I have to make her see that I was looking out for the welfare of her and myself...

What carrier did you get that ratre from?I paid over 2000.00.I never had a claim in 7 years.Please let me know the carriers name and contact info.

John, Talked to my insurance group today, Insurance went thru west bend mutual, they are not located in N.J..... I also told him about who you had and he said to get out from them because they are so high...
