Injector Chewing up O Rings

Having a problem with one of my injectors chewing up O rings. I have read that having too small an orifice will cause this but I have not changed orifice size. My O rings are the correct size but the last 2 I have put in got chewed very quickly. I was doing a deck/screen yesterday so I was around the back of a house and I didn't notice that instead of going to bypass, water was shooting out of the injector chemical line into my housewash tank. Trashed about 20 gallons of mix!
My back up injectors work fine. Any ideas? It's a SSS (which I love).

Cheers Alexy. Spring does seem kinda pooey.

we have the same problem but our's seem to melt. I usually get the rebuild kits and replace everything spring, ball and o-ring but after a week or two we get the same problem again. Its hard to be productive soaping, turning the machine off, removeing the injector then restarting again so we just keep them in-line constantly. I have thought about setting up a ball valve conglomorate that will allow us to flip 2 valves and bypass the injector to make it more efficient but still haven't figured out that one for simplicity when changing out injectors.

Another idea we would like to see is some sort of check valve that will not allow water to enter back into the soap tank. The cheap setup's on filters never hold up or seem to work for very long. I would like to see a filter that would end up blowing off the hose from the injector when they start backfeeding into the mix tank
