In search of hot water pressure washer

Ss35006vg

What do you guys think of the Hydro-Tek [FONT=arial, helvetica]SS35006VG $5300 shipped?
5.6 GPM, 3500PSI, Vanguard belt drive 21HP engine, General pump.
Every other hour of researching I am expanding my budget. Like I said before, we don't really do much of pressure cleaning work, but this unit seems will do a great job for years ahead and I think the investment is worth it. Any final suggestions?

Thank you all for the PMs, offers and your time.

Regards,

D.

I have a Hotsy 5.6gpm 3000psi hot water skid. They make their own pumps but it does have the 21hp Briggs Vanguard engine, it is a good engine, no problems at all. Just regular maintenance.

Have you looked at these brands besides the Hydrotek: Hotsy, Landa, Alkota, Aaladin, Delco? They are all good brands but more expensive than some brands but seem to be more reliable also.

Hydrotek is a good brand also, lots of contractors use them with great success.

If that is all you want to spend, either that Hydrotek or the Delco (Russ J. sells those) is what you might get for that price range.

Sorry Paul, I forgot about your brand of skids. You would think I would remember those ads but I guess I had a momentary lapse of memory. hahahahahahaha

Those are great prices Lori, wish I had the extra money for a classic. I will next month but will probably spend it on a trip to MB possibly.

24hp Honda Gear Drive 8 gpm general Pump, Hooked Up to a 8/10 gpm Hot Box, Done!!

I have thousands of hours on the Whisper Wash Surface Cleaners.

Hydro Teks are nice machines ( I have one) but they are a real PITA to work on. To change the generator belt it can take 90 minutes. Pressure Pro machines are MUCH easier to work on and they run just as good but cost much less.

Except the heating element on the hydrotek is better.

Nick, what brand of hot box are you using?

Lori,

What will be the price of the 19" Whisper Wash Classic shipped (after taxes since you are in FL) to 33004?

Thank You,

D.

Fox, brother don't take this the wrong way, but its obvious you know nothing about Pressure Washing.

Maybe you do have a lot of learning to do, Fox, but everyone on this board does. We were all a "newbie" at one time or another.

You want her name !! Oh never mind we use Pressure Pro's..:D

Hahahahahahaha that is a good one!

Had good luck with that brand? I heard bad things by a few guys so I was not going to try them anymore.

Any suggestions on a good and inexpensive flat surface cleaners?
D.

Yep I can help you there. PW Products recently made a post about a Whisper Wash sell. THey are selling the big guy for $ 685. I dont know if this is what is classified as cheap, but I will tell ya, it is. I have used a number of different sc in the past and just recently bought a big guy. Best sc hands down. get you a ball valve and some ties to hold the handle open. The only bad thing is holding the stupid handle. The above takes care of that.

You could also use a tennis ball but poke a hole through it and run a string through the holes and tie it to the handle so when you bump the machine, the tennis ball does not roll down the street or get lost.

Forgot to mention, when I bought my Big Guy several years ago, I paid $1000.00 locally and they told me that they are not going to sell them anymore so that is a reduced price from the regular $1300.00 retail price. Wow!
