In mail advertising

We've all seen those advertisements that come in the mail. Those little booklets with a bunch of little ads in it that come to your mail. I have been thinking about trying one of those. I had a buddy in Lawn Care who has done it and is doing pretty well.

But I don't know how well that will transfer into Pressure Washing. Has anyone done those types of Ads? Also what are some other good ads.

I advertise in the AJC Gwinnett section. It is pretty cheap but I only get a handful of jobs from it each month. So it pays me back but I am looking for better returns.
 
In my area we have a envalope that comes out called moneymailer has flyers in it i did one about a mouth ago it did pretty well cost $1500 to send 50,000 flyers and i got about 10,000 in buissness out of it i will do it agin
 
About advertising in general...

Zones matter. Never let a sales person talk you into a zone you don't feel will work for you. Here we have both Money Mailer and Val Pak. We have tried one but not the other, but did not repeat with them, since we couldn't get the zone we wanted, and we didn't want a zone too far out. Local newspapers work really well to. They too have zones, make sure you are in the best one for your needs.

Has anyone ever tried advertising in the church prayer books? I got a call the other day from the marketing person from the company that makes them for the area and they are getting ready to print in about a month. I was told that they are being delivered to 22 churches locally and some in the surrounding areas. I forgot how many are being printed but the lady told me that it is common for churches to have more printed due to getting worn out and some leaving the church. What was that saying? "Cleanliness is next to ?"
I think that there are some school directories that are getting ready to print and was wondering if anyone has tried these? Thanks for any help.
