Attention all PWI members:
After several discussions regarding this matter it has been decided that the PWI administration and the owner of this board would like everyone to modify their signature (found in USER CP) so that your full name and contact information appears. If you have any difficulty in making this change, send me an e-mail and I will help you get it done.
This requirement will add credibility to your posts as well as to the board as a whole.

Grant,
I don't have a problem giving my real name and location, but my mailing address, email address and phone number are things I would prefer to have a choice to give out on my own. While it may lend credibility to the BBS it also opens the door for people to be harrassed in several different ways.(i.e. email spam, snail mail and by phone)

Scott, I did a Dex search and had your address and phone number in under 3 seconds. What's to hide?

Celeste thats great, Russ yours has always been fine and WE ALL KNOW SCOTT!

I have to agree with squirtgun

On some other forums I have put info about me and it has upset me greatly. I once had a person email me non-stop because I upset him in an "Off-topic" section. Aparently I made him look like a fool because he was spewing some info that was wrong. It had to do with politics and it was election season. Well he started sending me gay pornographic mail and all kinds of junk.

I'm not saying that any of you would resort to this low level but I am very private when it comes to the internet.

One thing though I would like see people put in their signature is a description of their equipment. That way we don't have to point out what we have in each post. Just a thought.

I'll give some info though.

I have always used my name and contact information in all posts on all BBS. Been almost 10 years that if been visiting them.
