Im always amazed how some people are so successful in spite of themselves

Scott Stone- yes you are a true gentlemen- BTW-nice meeting you in Vegas

I agree smooth and polish isn't always the best route and hear what Ron is saying as well

I can be curt with the best of them if the situation calls for it

But like Teds example- i really believe people like that shortchange themselves and don't even know it regardless of how well they are doing

I was thinking/referring to employees. If you have a bad attitude, so will your employees/workers. Bad attitudes start at the top!

Yeah don't worry, I can loose weight. Can't fix ugly.

See the positive from my perspective. Lol

I am amazed that these hillbilly phrases I have heard all my life have made it out to the west coast...I really had hoped all that shit was dying off. ;)

South Chicago doesn't count as "the south".

I was reading an article today where someone was lamenting that they had treated their employees kindly. He felt he should have been more of a taskmaster, and clearer and more demanding on expectations. It made me sad. We are very clear on our expectations of employees, and diligently hold their feet to the fire. That does not mean you can't be fair and kind, too.

I have employees that I have fired come back and visit us when they are in the area because they know we always treated them fairly.

Your right Scott , should always treat them well. Even the bad ones. Doesn't make any sense not to.
