IBCs for water supply?

Not to jump off the plumbing.... how are you guys securing your tank to the trailer? I was just outside trying to think of a way I was going to do this? thanks Dean

I used 4" angle iron. I cut it into 4" pieces. There are holes on all 4 corners of the totes. I drilled 1/2 holes to meet the holes in the base of the tote. Then I drilled 1/2" holes through the flat part of the angle iron and drilled through the trailer and secured them with lock nuts. It is dark out now so I can't post a picture. I will get some tomorrow if you need to see it.

Id like to see that too.

Its not the best picture since it is dark out. I have them on all 4 corners. I bought a 12 inch piece from a welding supply place and had them cut it into three inch sections.

What I did before I drilled the holes is line it up to the holes in the corners of the tote. I marked it and drilled it. The bottom where it meets the trailer doesn't matter unless it falls where the boards meet. I used 1/2" bolts. Its also 1/4" steel. The whole thing cost about $12.00.

thanks again Ken

Thanks Ken everything I need is in my shop!

No problem Dean. Sorry the picture wasn't that great. I took it with my phone and its dark out.

I just used a 2 inch rubber clamped coupling then a 2 inch PVC male reducer in the other end going to a PVC tee and two 1 inch nipples. Works just fine and you can get it all at your local plumbing store for about 10 bucks!!!!

Christopher, I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to put picz on here. I think that the resolution on my camera is wayyyy tooo high! Some tips?

I dunno about the camera wizard app in Windows XP, but a freebie program like Irfanview will allow you to resize/resample images.

I use a free program called Fast Stone Photo Resizer.

Get that program and shrink the pictures to around 600x400 and then save them onto your desktop or into a file and give them a name so you know what they are.

When you post just go a little further down the screen where you see the next box that says Additional Options, in there is a gray button "Manage Attachments", click that box and then use the browse to get to your folder or desktop and upload your pictures then click on submit reply and you are done.
