I want to start a poll.

I need help determining what certifications I will have in my KEC poll.

Phil
Rusty
PWNA
What should the others be? Please help and please don’t put crazy ones in. I only want to use the serious considerations.

IKECA
International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaners Association

LOL Ant. There a couple of other guys that should be considered. Small companies, I think one of them is called the American Hood and Duct Cleaners Association. The other one is a small guy that also teaches Ansul service. I cant think of the name right now, and Im a little to busy too look it up (counting all this money takes up a lot of time, 1 dolla, 2 dolla.....)

Does the Black Magic method count? Feb 23rd 1988. I still have my certifing certificate with.....................tad da a gold seal. And signed by Chet Curtis himself. Not a copy of his signature but the real deal.

Why the poll to start with? What are we trying to say-who is the most credible of the four?

That question was to Ron.
IKECA - Very Credible -based on age, nuber of cleaners and the total dollar.

Phils - Very Credible-study outline and numbers who have taken program.

PWNA- Credible - Years in service-tunover of cleaners-no focus.

Rusty - Somewhat Credible - number of cleaners and controversial within the cleaner industry-cleaners are small operations. They have made a mark on the industry for the positive.

IKECA has fallen short of credible here lately.

PWNA, only as credible as the program they are following, currently Phil's.

Phil's, seems credible, seems to be going in the right direction, but is also questionable in it's practices against other associations and non-member companies.

There is no "Rusty" certification, we are members of the "Certified Hood & Duct Cleaners Association" or "CHDCA". It does tend to be geared toward the individual business person, and has proven to be a successful business opportunity for success minded people. I don't know what more you need to call this group credible. It tests from the same manuals as the others, trains people in real life greasy situations, and supports it's body of members. Not to mention the President, Russel Clark, aka RustyAce, is an active member of the NFPA 96 technical committee.

I think your view of CHDCA and it's purpose is different than what it really is. The members are not out to dominate and conquer their competition like most larger companies. The quality and commitment you get from an individual with as much interest as CHDCA members have in their own business is far greater than that of any other organization or KEC company I have encountered. A lot companies within CHDCA have expanded to 2-3 truck companies. Which is very similar to the size of most companies within IKECA.

Nuff about the CHDCA though, TGPA will be turning the grease world upside down soon. Maybe The Grease Police should be included in the poll.

"IKECA has fallen short of credible here lately."

What has been lately to bring this onto IKECA? The members that were at the last show were very positive with comments. I will be at the next one at Derby - Josh you going?

Recent testimony of former members has me concerned with IKECA's integrity. As for Louisville, it really depends on the work load when the time comes. With it being so close it will be hard to miss. What are the dates?

The show dates are Oct. 31-Nov. 1 & 2
