I Phone or Droid? AT&T or Sprint or Verizon or T-Mobile?

I have used the ATT Iphone for years - I decided to get the Google Nexus s.. THis thing sucks so hard. Im headed out to return it this weekend. Back to the iphone I go..

I saw your post on Facebook saying you got rid of the iPhone.. I figured it wouldn't be long till you went back to it!

I tried an android for a year or so after I had a 3gs from ATT. As soon as Verizon had the iPhone I ditched the android.

Times sure have changed. I remember paying $1500 a month for a big brick phone that cost me $300 to get installed in my van. Minutes were 80 cents each. You only got coverage in big cities and then had to pay a fortune for roaming outside your home city.

At that time I was on the edge of technology because I could type up my reports and send them to the office via a 300 baud modem that you put the phone reciever into. It beat faxing because the secretary didn't have to retype everything.

GPS was a stack of Thomas guides.

Computers were using dos and if you wanted one with a 5 meg hard drive it would set you back about $2500.

Word Perfect was the word processor of the day.

The "internet" consisted of dialup direct numbers to BBS's.

The year was 1987. That was only 24 years ago.

Amazing.

It was just yesterday!!

I remember having to carry nickles and dimes to be able to make a call from a payphone. Also the pefect "he's out of the office" line is dead too.

I got my first phone in 94. It was an analog uniden. People would see it and freak out because it was so small. It was really not much bigger then my incredible.
My first computer was a Zenith with two 5:25 inch floppys. Hard drives had not been widely used, yet. I paid $2500 for it. It did have a color monitor, though. I did not get my first computer with a modem until 95, and was on dial up shortly after that.

I went and got the I Phone 4 with AT&T with the unlimited talk, text and 4gb of data per month.

Now I need to learn how to use the phone, it looks cool!

It is amazing how we live with all these devices but think back when they were not around but we still survived.

Before cell phones we had pagers and always had to keep change in pockets or cars to make the calls.

First computer was a used anderson jacobson from the 1970's with one 125k k 8 inch floppy drive.

Got it in the mid 80's in trade for some P I work. It origionally cost $33k and was considered the first portable computer even though it came in two pieces on rollers the size of small desks.

Also. I was one of the first members of "prodigy" when it was only text based and was one of the first 1000 members of aol and a beta tester for them. I used to keep up with technology, but I'm behind the times now.
