I wish I had a guide are a standard for bidding jobs.
I dont have enough experience to bid without measuring.
What I need help with is a bank parkinglot. A family member of my girl friends got me the job.Now how much to charge? The BANK needs it done every two months .I just need help with how much $$$.What is fair and just. The area I am bidding this job is in East TX.The parking lot is the size of a average Exxon. I will be useing STEAM,DEGREASER,AND PAYING A EMPLOYEE.And all I need is # for them. If some one will please give any suggesting I would be thankful.
does anyone have a type of standard priceing in Texas
on commercial parking lot? Any insight will help.
TIME is everything. We cant see how bad the cement looks.
With speed we would need to know if you have a surface cleaner? What size is it? What is your GPM? Do you use recovery for waste water? Do you have a water supply on site?
Easy ans. is 10 cents per sq. ft. for the first wash and less for the maint. washes.
A lot of flatwork people are going to say this is way too high and bid it at 5 cents per sq ft.
Some even less then that.
So you can tell its not in "what you should charge" but "what do you think you can get?"
Any chance you can get more then the one bank?
volume = discount
An average Exxon to you may be a lot diffrent in NJ then TX. What is the sq' ft.?
Remember yes you want to get the job but also it is real hard to raise prices after you quote them.
All flatwork over min of $100 is quoted on sq.ft priceing. Do you have any idea what others in your area are chargeing?
It is a concrete Parkinglot. And i will be useing Kick Degreaser as a surface cleaner. I have a 800 Gallon of water onsite on my trailer. I am not sure what my G.P.M. is . My unit is a Hydrotec 5000 p.s.i. with Cat pump, 16.5 Briggs and St.
How do you measure your G.P.M?
How much worse are the Drive thru lanes compared to the rest of the parking lot? they usually have a lot more grease spots than a normal parking space. How many lanes are there.
To test flow rate, for starters see how long it takes to fill a 5 gallon bucket without a tip in place. Flow rate = 5/minutes. May drop slightly when you a run at pressure.
As far as the drains go there are not any drains on the parking lot it self . I spoke to the manager about recaptureing the waste , but it wont be nessary in this job.
I was the last person to was this parking lot but it was only 1 month old and they were having a grand opening and just needed some touch up work done. Now they want the whole parking lot done. There about 50-65 parking places and all are messy, the drive lanes are not to bad there are 5 drive through lanes , and one atm lane .
The materals cost me about 90.00 dollars . That is for the degreaser . I am thanking of bidding about 680.00 . The company before me charged 800.00 they said he was to high.
I just want to befare but yet i want what deserve. Since they know i am new to this bussiness i dont want to be takin avanged of.
CURTIS....YOU KNOW THE PARKING LOT. WALK IT AGAIN AND DETERMINE HOW LONG ITS GOING TO TAKE AD IN TO AND FROM PLUS SET UP AND TAKE DOWN,AND QUOTE HIM YOUR HOURLY RATE. I DON'T KNOW YOUR MARKET BUT PROBABLY $65 TO $85 PER HR. ALSO ADD 15% ON CHEM COSTS .HE MAY SHOP YOUR HR RATE BUT THATS WHEN YOU HAVE TO SELL YOU. GO 4 IT. DAN COSGROVE
