Talk about filtering the water and having valves .. This is gonna be so much eaiser .. Now i just close my valve by the pump and blow the pump out .. with the air fitting that is hooked to the pump .. At the top of the tank is where my bypass goes in ( not shown) i can drain my tank easy with the t and valve ..I am filtering the water going in the tank and out of the tank ... So clean you can drink it .. ( YUK ) :clapping:

Yes, filtering will save you lots of pump mishaps. One thing to remember John, is the more fittings and line clamps you have between the tank and your pump, the more chances for air to enter the system. Be aware of your pump while running, and listen for surging, cavitation, and pressure loss. All of our rigs have a filter on the supply side before the tank, and a bowl or Y strainer before the pump. We check the fittings weekly and tighten or replace as necessary.
