I’ve see it time & time Again,,

Ron,
You sure do alot of damage when you powerwash.LOL(Just kidding).

How is it that you can post a picture that large when it can't be over 102,000 jpg's or whatever you call it??

Whenever I post a picture I have to resize it to show it and it always looks so small. SO whats the Secret???

Ron I thought Mike changed all that, so you still are able to get around the rules when posting pictures larger then the rest of us.

Not fair.

Mike do something:D

His photo is only 31,181 bytes (640 x 480 pixels).
You can check the size of yours (pictures) via right click then click on properties. I shoot most mine in SQ.

Did I tell you I once had a photography business?
I got rid of it after 1 year. Been there, done that, now it's point and shoot only digital.

Sorry, didn't mean to but in or side track.

Here is an SQ shot of a house we're removing some of the white glaze from the bricks on. 40KB photo size.

Regards,

In context of screw-ups, we got the job because the builder wanted the same bricks on his house that was on another house. After the masonry is done, the bricks look a lot different than he expected (too white). He goes back the the brick supplier to chew him out and he's told it's the identical brick as the house he referenced. This is where I get involved - he takes me to the other home and a couple of quick looks tells me the brick was over cleaned, I see turbo marks on it and most of the glazing was removed from the brick.

Who knew this gentleman would like that look? So he wants me to give him the same look on his house. After some resistance and waiver saying can't guarantee outcome, I agree to do it. My price is a bit higher than normal because we have to brush like hell to get the glazing to come off (no turbos allowed on my/our jobs). After one wall is done, I'm thinking this is crazy, but when was the last time someone actually paid you to screw up something (on purpose). This can be a lot of fun.
He looks at it and says "If you can get it darker than that, that's OK too!"
As long as he's happy, I'm happy too.
He's looking to go production with this, We'll have to make sure he gets different bricks next time. Don't want this kind of reputation to get around.

As a side note, it's really hard screwing something up when you're used to doing it right. My guy was scared to death.
Had to reassure him that this is OK just this once.

Regards,

Sorry, didn't hear you wink. Next time I'll work with you, but you have to wink a bit louder.
However, I still think they know you're SPECIAL.

Regrets,

Paul, I have encountered the same type of issue with brick, especially one called Natchez Trace. I charge extra to get rid of the white material on the surface. This year, have done this on 5 houses for a single builder. Even wrote a letter to the brick suppliers about how manufacturer changed process to insure white stuff stays on brick.

Crazy!

To Ron Musgraves

I can see the Damage in the last picture you posted. Could you explain the possible cuases for me as I am new and so far have tried to be very carefull and read all the directions on every thing I use I havent really screwed anything up yet (knock on wood) I am trying to build my library of the cuases of different damage to surfaces I clean so that I can hopefully avoid those mistakes.

As always thanks in advance

Unbelievable,

If you’re the contractor that did this job can you be proud? six hours after the contractor left, they called us. They said Ron we used you in the past and I guess we learned our lesson. This is what guy did to our store. Nothing its seems but leave and invoice.

Charge’s for cleaning under the canopy and parking on this service station cost 450.00.

Here’s the photo’s Six hours after service.

If you’re a contractor that thinks damaging surfaces are OK because concrete is sub-standard and it’s not my fault. That’s BS…as a pro it’s your responsibility to inform the customer that there concrete is weak and that with more time it can be cleaned correctly.

Lets Stop The Damage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sure wish you would have overlapped and taken away some of the detergent stain that the other contractor left behind (but you didn't).

I always want to see those "Spider Webs" after "every" cleaning. That's the trade mark of a professional (in my humble opinion)!
