My current vacuum is not powerful enough to use this surface cleaner so I have decided to sell it.

Why not add another vacuum motor to your system and then it should do the job good. Sometimes it is not the vacuum but the surface cleaner's design.

Find a friend that has a vacuum system close to you and take your vacuum and surface cleaner over there and try out your surface cleaner on their vacuum and then their surface cleaner on your vacuum (only if their surface cleaner is a different brand like Sirocco) and you will know what is exactly the problem.

My vacuum doesn't allow you to add another motor to it. I'm also looking into upgrading my entire recovery system.

Correction this is a 21" not 18".
