Hydro Max, BCE Systems

Any body every use Hydro Max Pressure washers made by BCE Systems? I never heard of the brand before and have come across one that is used. They look well built, stainless everywhere, huge fuel cells (13 gallon each) and pretty good specs. I was wondering how they hold up real world.

Russ, have you ever seen them or worked on any?

Anybody have an opinion on the Kohler vs. the B&S vangaurd?
 
I have seen one machine, Mark Sexton has one, I have seen him have to replace some stuff over the last year, weirdest was bolts broken off in the pump head that mounts the pump to the plate.

As far as Briggs vs Kohler? I have no opinion on a difference, I have used Hondas and Birggs and just this last year started using 2 Kohlers (27hp) and personally have had great luck with all of them, mainly I feel due to the fact we change the oil in the pumps and engines every month.

I do like the Briggs for one reason, the parts are available in most all small engine shops as are the Kohlers, Honds are a little more of a pain and more expensive to repair from what I have seen.
 
No Tim, I've never had one come through the shop...looks like a decent machine though.

Not at all Tim. The it came down to reputation and price. The company I went with sold Alkota. BCE makes their own machines, I researched a lot and couldn't find that much input on BCE equipment. Being this was my first machine, I wanted to make sure that that I could have complete confidence in the equipment. Also at that time BCE was using Comet pumps, didn't like what contractors had to say about Comet. They use generals now.

I like BCE because they are a Father-Son company. Their equipment has improved much in 5 years.

You can tell good equipment by seeing what's out there for sell (used). You don't see a lot of BCE stuff out there, that tells me that contractors are are using and keeping this equipment...Good Thing.
