How to grease and filter the general pump hammerhead surface cleaner

We ended up putting our own grease fittings in and they work fine. Grease them every other day.

The BE is $126.63, but their quality has diminished lately. One customer has been through 3 of them in 2 months. I'm not happy.
The Talon III has been replaced by the Talon IV, a non-greasable Mosmatic swivel.
Change is not always for the better.

Classic CL. You won't believe the difference. I haven't seen a line since I started using it.

Geez Ralph, when you put like that, the $269 price tag on the gp hammerhead doesn't look so purty...

Did you get your 22hp setup?

Thanks Russ... Guess I'll be waiting for the Classic. Initially I was thinking gp hh for a month or 2, then upgrade swivel and spray bar to the 20" ww.

Our classic puts our BE's too shame. Runs circles around it.

The 22 HP is a monster. Ran it for the first time today, after replacing the crap fuel filter it came with it ran like a top.

Yes John, that's that. Drilling it for a grease fitting isn't a good idea. For one, the outlet for the hole has to be exactly between the two bearings. Secondly, if it's non-greaseable, the bearings are sealed instead of open sided, so the grease won't have anywhere to go.

The only thing you can do is replace it with a greaseable swivel.
If you break down the swivel assembly the bearings are actually not completely sealed, there is a gaurd on one side of both bearings but were they meet does not have a shield.
This speaks just for the 2 times mine have locked up and I took them apart and changed out with a major repair kit

I see this is a old thread. Hoping I can get a reply still. Been digging for a min now.
But are the threads on the spray bars and swivels the same on the hammerheads,Simpsons, and whirl a way? I know hammerhead and Simpsons are the same.
