How to clean bare cedar shakes

So I have a house I have to clean and have never done cedar shakes before considering they have never been stained before. I was going to clean with sodium percarbonate , rinse, then neutralize with citralic. I was wondering if the percarbonate will get rid of the green on the cedar? I know SH is bad for wood but I've heard conflicting arguments as to its the only way to remove the green. Not sure if I should hit it with my house wash first. Anyone have some insight as to how they would tackle this?
