Ok I have a presentation on Wednesday for 20 stores..A major national cchain that in not part of brinker in PR...they do belong to brinker in the US.

So I have to give a presentation on the Foam and Grease containments....plus I will be required to give a bid for about 25 stores..... How much??????

This is your typical TexMex nasty corporate foodplace. Average 8 Million in sales per location. Many have told me they go for lowball, I understand this and just think it will be good for my reputation to get these folks on my client list...if it is such a loss for me I will lose the account through price increase.....So what would you guys bid???

If you plan to give them as quality product, I will bet you will not be the low bidder. If you are not the selected one, I would ask them if you could service two stores so that they can compare service. Anyone can sell price-the hard part is selling quality added service. When they come out and say they go for the low ball-that is a big red flag.

When someone says that to me I tell them to take the low bid and add $200 and that is my bid. If I take the time to put it all together, it is still to high-so what is the point! The guy with no ins. , comp and so on.

Yeah I know it sucks that they want the low number but I guess it is what it is....I could really use the accounts but I will not do the jobs for free....I know one of the former cleaners bid 385 per store...they never called him.

Do you all think it would be worth it to bid these at 385 per store? They are supposedly quartely stores....

You have been trained to be able to do it with only one helper, so even if you're the low-baller, you may not be "a lowballer". Nome sayin homie. If the other companies are using a crew of 5 guys to do the store, they may be a little quicker, (may be) but they gotta pay all those fools. If it's just you and another, you can afford to be lower legitimately....

Anyways, if your family needs the accounts, you do what you gotta do. (period) Who gives a flying flip what other think....do what you gotta do. Now go get those accounts.

ps...why don't you give Chris a call...he may have some tricks up his sleaves.

Thanks Ant Man..my training will definatley come in handy!!! I just spoke with a cat in LA who gave me a few pointers...I feel the same if I need the accounts to feed the kids..don't matter what I bid...now I just need to CLOSE...ABC ABC do you here me you little fa...........!!!!!

Russ you are 90 away from 2 grand....
you said the 4 letter word again...

Your question is "How to Bid Unseen Kitchens?" Answer Don't!

I don't bid any kitchen without inspecting it and you want to bid 20 or 25 of them! Good way to loose your business in a heartbeat!!

Just my $.02,

Dave Olson

But he's gonna do it anyway.

He scrong!
:D

It is a given that you must look at all locations before you take them on. Chains like that are nothing but problems-Will they give you keys?-that creates another problem if they don't. How many lines do they have per store?

I have very mixed feelings on this potential account....that whcih does not kill me will only make me stronger!!! Who knows...I may not be to their standards and then again they may not be to MY standards. We'll see how it goes....at any rate, I am just thankful that through everyones coaching here...I was able to land this sit down with the Corporate decision makers. Thanks dudes..and gals.
