A-1 Pressure Washing

You can almost hear the awning ripping! It will turn into a mattress giant flag in a couple of months
lol I have always applied a degreaser brushed then hit with very low pressure and has always worked well with us
I'm going to be very Blunt, This video is a Great Example of how to ruin the material and strip any UV protection the awning has.
I may get a call from the people who made the video, don't really care.
Cleaning Awning safely matter, if you put undo wear onto the material and damage the threads the awning will not last as long. ( Period)
Awning made of fibers should not be pressure washed at this intense pressure. If anything the pressure washer is only used as a tool to throw chemicals and rinse the awning.
Brushing awning with approved brushes that also will not damage material is very important. Softer brushes are suggesting and more course ones can be used on certain materials.
Detergents and water are your cleaning Solvents. Keep in mind that the sun and washing is what wears out awnings.
Protecting the awning from UV after clean is a very important process to ensure proper restoration. Chemicals can strip this from the material exposing this to the sun causing damage quickly that you might be held Liable if the manufacture can prove you stripped this and did not replace it.
The use if 3000 psi on awnings is retarded. This is not only damaging the Awning its literally tearing the fibers this weakening the strength of the entire awning. After the cleaning the water weight will pull the awing thus causing a dip. If this dip occurs you know that you may have been to aggressive.
Buyers Be-ware of Pressure washing service people using the wrong tools to achieve safe cleaning results.
WOW
He even went over it twice to make sure he did extra damage
Plus he was standing to high on the step ladder, lucky he didnt fall
That's some funny stuff Ron.
we rinse the awning first, fill a 5er with simple cherry and warm water and brush on with a soft brush about an 8 foot section at
a time, scrub scrub scrub, light rinse....and whola!!! finished. never sealed an awning yet...

how do you tell if the material is permanent color dye? The owner of this building called us to clean his awnings today. Meeting him tomorrow to discuss details. You can use Bleach as long as the Material is Permanent Color Die. Always use Lower Strength if possible, never Brush unless you intend on brushing them all.
