How much pressure will I lose at 35' up?

I concur. The flow loss will be minimal.

I washed an 88' airport radar tower with the dish platform with a 125' manlift so the highest I was when washing was about 95' or 100' high and I did not notice any big loss when washing. Everything went good when washing the inside and outside of the structure. The tower was about 100' away from the pressure washing trailer and I was using the 5.6gpm machine with 3000psi.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I originally thought to bring mobile equipment to the roof. Thats a lot of work and requires a lift. I figured 2 or 3 trucks at different corners would be easier. Maybe wire in some remote starts so guys can turn equipment on and off from the roof.

I do these all the time. You are way overthinking it.

If you park at the middle where the spine of the roof is you need about 450 ft to reach the far corners.

You will have about 2400 psi at the end of that run.

Easy work.

Ed other than the roof being dirty, what other reason do they have for wanting you to wash that roof?
Post construction clean up. Theres are some spots on the walls, scrape some clumps of roof caulk, and clean the gutters. The GC warned me not to let any metal objects go down the drainage system. He said they will inspect them with a camera and if they find that metal went down the drain and caused any damage they'll come after you.

If that's the case, have them tape a pre-clean inspection, you don't want to be on the hook for what's been going on before you got there.

If you have more than one machine available that's great. With 2 machines you could park on opposite sides and each work 1/2 with 250 ft. If you have 4 you could park on the corners and do it with about 175 ft.

You will find drains all along the two low sides. They might go to the landscape or they might go to the storm drain. You will have to ask.

Wrap them with a filter that will stop metals. Its too bad you weren't in San Diego. The guy was there selling the fish shaped filters that take out metals.

Thanks for the advice ya'll. As soon as I can figure out the 6' safety barrier and fall arrest system, I'll be in good shape. This company wanted a union pressure washing company. Is there such a thing? They want us to wait until all union work is done so it doesn't create a problem. I am naïve to the goings on of unions. What type of problems can these guys make?
