How much for starting pressure washing position?

I recently bought out my partner. He still works for me ...for now. I am trying to figure out whether to pay him a percentage or hourly. Some jobs would work to his favor hourly and others wouldn't. I am also afraid he would milk it hourly. Also when do you punch the clock hourly. If I have to take him to the job and take him home should he be on the clock when I am spending my time providing the transportation? This is one reason I think the % would be a better way to pay hi until he can provide his own transportation.

I always started them at $10.00 an hour, If they come back the next day after a long night then they are usually a keeper. If not I line their boots up with the rest of the boots in the shop...lol

$8.00 p/hr and they don't start as a pressure washer. Once they become a pressure washer then $10.00. Most don't get to it.

You guys have it so good down there for these wages, most mobile wash positions up here start at around $17-18 a hour. I pay more when I need the help, but I am getting guys that know what they are doing and will show up. They also work beside be on the extra wand from the truck so I can keep an eye on them and instruct them when needed.
