I pay around $750/year. Before I found this insurance Company I use to pay aroud twice that about 4yrs ago.

To get the best rates you have to shop around. If anyone is interested I will post my insurance Co. and the agent I deal with. The insurance co. is a reputable one. This rate is for a sole proprieter.

So what do you pay?

Insurance cost,

Let sum this up, local is going to be better. Most important thing is that the broker be a commercial broker. This means the brokers business is mainly insuring businesses and that he is set up properly to do. I have been in business 18 plus years now and have had three different insurance agents. The last two where the same company and the only difference was one guy is set up to handle businesses and the other was only interested in auto, life, and home.

I have gotten quotes from many different agencies and the differences have been from 650.00 to 2200.00.

Hear are a couple variables that will make the insurance cost more.

1. how many years in business
2. locations of business
3. What types of pressure washing you do.
4. are you one the ground
5. gross dollars per year
6. The age of your drivers and there track records.
7. your personal track record with any insurance company’s(claims paid)

I sure some are not here if you would like to add please feel free.

$1,000.00 per year. We did not take the Garage Keeper's option which would have more than doubled the rate.

insurance

Be a bit more specific, business liability or motor vehicle insurance? I pay about $2400 a ;year for liability insurance. Our services include exhaust cleaning, protable fire extinguishers, fire alarm, fire sprinklers, emergency lighting, fire suppression sytem in resturants, vehicles, industry and SCBA service. Our coustomer base includes fire departments, health care facilities, schools. military installations, ordinary retail establishments, and government agencies, all of whhich may make a difference in the rate.Vehicle insurance is about $1000, bond is about $800.00. Be aware that the rate you pay may be based upon an estimated gross income, if your gross goes up, so does your insurance bill. Before I hire anyone, I ask Anne, my vehicle insurance agent, for permission. I don't hire if they cannot drive my service trucks. Other factors not listed in previous posts are the area you are in, metro areas have higher rates than rural. the amount and type of training you and your employyes have may make a difference. Shop around, local usually offers better insurance service, if not rates. That said, I deal locally for some of my insurance and 300 miles away for some insurance. go for 2 million in liability, not much difference in cost. Deal only w/ an agent who deals mostly in commercial policies. Some commercial accounts will require 2 million, and may require being listed on the policy. (UPS for one) Carry copies of insurance, bond, licensing, with you, and include copies in estimates. We have gotten several accounts because our main competitor does not always bother w/insurance.
