As of now We just can't get past the 40,000 mark. Its the rinsing that is killing us.

With 2 of us cleaning we can knock out 25-30 David but we could do much more if we didn't have to rinse. Im only using 4k and 4 gpm. Like you said the rinsing kills us too! Especially when I am working alone. Then those #'s drop substantially. :(

We can clean 65 to 75,000 sq ft with 1 surface cleaner machine running ( 140k with 2 surface cleaners) in 4 to 5 hours. It takes additional 6+ hours to prep area, apply detergent, hand scrub each oil stain, wash walls, columns, rinse, and filter, oh and lunch and /or dinner. We have 10 to 14 hour days avg.

I can Clean 70,000- 100,000sqft per night! A night being 10 hrs, and thats per rig!!!

With one turbo twister running, or two 20' surface cleaners running!

some rigs 32,000 others 11,000... I cant say we have a magic number on the average sqaure feet.

If all runs well and we are doing centers about 4000 to 4500 per hour on maint accounts.

Of course the intials can take ridiculous times. I've spent 6 hours in a front door of a grocery store loaded with bubble gum. about 1100 ft total.

I like the poll David, just think you should set a criteria for what type of work exactly. I also know you do alot of common area in residential communitys.

We all have several jobs and conditions....

When ordering a turbo twister, make sure to get the unit reinforced and have the wand set for 4,000 rpms. In order to do this, you will have to order a bigger engine OTHER THAN THE 5 HP that comes with it! The 5 HP will not preform 100% when used with the bigger units of 4,000 psi + with 6 or more GPM's. I would not order the unit stock if you have or plan on having a unit that big or bigger. Like wetfoot experienced, you may have issues with the unit breaking down or only spinning 3,000 RPMs thus slowing your cleaning capabilities downward.

With the proper pressure washer, nothing comes close to the speed and the cleaning capabilities of the turbo twister. I ran them for 19 years and I still have one from 1993/4 of which cleans better then the newer ones we have.

Our custom ones are built to our specs. We buy 2 at a time to keep the cost down. Ours with upgraded specs, the unit cost around $4,000 to $4,300.00. Thats with a 14 HP motor. Our units weigh in at 350 to 400 lbs.

When we turn our machine on, the turbo unit lifts up about a 1/8 of an inch from the steam pressure build up making the unit a little easier to push.

I clean this one parking lot that is 18,090 sq.ft. in around 8 hours, that is running the surface cleaner over all the concrete and then rinsing.

There is a very bad low spot in the middle that is a pita but I am using either the sludge pump for that spot or cleaning it first and then just rinsing it out as it fills.

1 machine, 5.5gpm, 3000psi by myself.

On a surface that has a slope and will drain a little bit better, I would probably be able to do another 1000 or 2000 sq.ft. more in the same amount of time.
