How many businesses

How many differant businesses did you try before pressure washing?

I started 23 years ago with Amway. I have always wanted to have my own business. It is in our family. My dad had a service station. After a while of telling myself that people wanted to make money for me and them not believing me I gave that up. Over the years I tried Excel, another MLM telephone sceam. Another was World internet marketplace, a MLM selling web sites and merchandise. After a trip to Salt Lake City for training and a convention to Pheonix it went belly up. I had aproblem with info-merchials, I believed to much of what they said.

I'm glad I got started pressure washing. It's the first business venture that I am making money at. Cleaning concrete is a lot easier then pouring it, I even tried that for a while. My wife is backing me on this also and she helps me some. That makes it a lot easier. The way I see it I should have a good business built by the time I am able to retire from my other job in a few years. Until then I will clean up around here. (pun)

Hi Lenny,
You ever go after any of the hotels down there to wash the exteriors or spruce up the grounds? Some of them could sure use it! Just a thought.... I would think they do whatever they have to in order to compete....

Beth,
I have tried but they either do a little cleaning themselves or they want me to pay them for me to do it, or that's what it seems like.I am starting to get some of the resturaunts oh They could all use some cleaning.

Hmmmm....

Maybe if you do one for barter, or for free in a small area, like say outdoor seating (picnic tables) or a playset or something then go running around to the others and tell them what you did for the one...? We did some restaurant work for barter once. From there we got alot more work and used the first one as a reference. It was part of the deal.

Best of luck! :)

Beth
