I've been in and out of several businesses over the years

Global Marketing Group - a distribution company for retail end products
GCR PowerClean - which later turned into TimberSeal
DeckGuide.com - which of course Brian now owns
SpaceWalk of Valparaiso - Inflatables Rental Business

and these we still own and run..

TimberSeal - Wood Care and Restoration of course www.timberseal.net
IPS Industries - Importer of product from China for retail/ebay sales
Business Card Connection - Still own and run www.bizcardconnection.com

I have a marketing business idea Im working on as I tie in to the bizcardconnection thing but there's only so much time in a day unfortunately so it's been on the backburner much like the card business has for a little while.

Outside of that I've worked at a Theatre while in HS, as a equipment operator and a diesel mechanic in my earlier years.

16-18 Satellite Installation High School Job

30 Purchased Maids to Order Franchise and still drove a truck while my wife got it up and running.
31 Maids to Order re-branded to offer carpet cleaning and pressure washing
and is now MTO Cleaning Services.
31 Quit my driving job and went to carpet cleaning training in Indy. and started cleaning carpet.
31 Purchased a cart around pressure washer and went out and trained with a company that was partners with the pw company I purchased my equipment from.
Pressure washed with a 4000psi 4gal cart around and man you should of seen that set up. Cart around mounted on a Lark carrier slid into my hitch with a hose reel mounted on the side and rest of my gear in the back of my truck and also cleaned carpet while my wife ran the office. Found this website and learned things that helped me in many different ways with my business.
31 1/2 Got busy with both and finally purchased some real pw equipment and have busted my behind since then.
33(current)
I currently have 1 Carpet/Upholstery cleaning van, 2 pw rigs and 30 maids cleaning houses. My wife and office manager run the office like a fine tuned sewing machine and I stay away from there as much as possible.
Oh and don't let me forget: Loads and Loads of stress. Guess you can't have one without the other.

Jobs

12 -14 Grass mowing, cleaned neighborhood swimming pool
14 - 15 Worked at local country club, cleaning, setting up for receptions etc
15 - 16 Worked at local hospital, porter - everything from toilet cleaning, delivery room cleaning, stripping waxing floors
16 - 18 NAPA Auto Parts store
19 to present - After coming home from LSU with 0.00 gpa, my old man told me that his financial support for me in my life was over so I better get a job - a good job. He told me I could live at home until I got my act together, but the rent was $50 a week. The most memorable piece of information he ever told me was this " I don't care if you dig ditches or shovel sh*t, but you better be damn good at it, because you are not living off my $". Well, he took the keys to the car, cancelled the insurance he was paying, and said get to hunting a job.

I got a job offshore in the oil field in early '81 and have been employed by the same company ever since. I worked over seas in the North Sea for 14 years (England, Scotland, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands), the Far East for 3 years (Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand), South America for 2 years (Brazil), the Gulf of Mexico, and I am now getting ready to move to a rig offshore west Africa in Angola.

I work 28 days on / 28 days off, so I have to have something to do while I am home, so I started my PW biz about 4 years ago. It's something I really like to do, not something I have to do. My goal is to retire from the company at 55, then maybe do consultant work and continue pw. I have been very fortunate in my life, I have traveled all over the world, done so many things that other people have only dreamed of.

My working life started early as I grew up on a family farm..

Age 5 cutting asparagus, picking apples,feeding livestock,chores
Age 6 I drove tractor(worked) like the other farm kids
Age 8 I drove hay trucks...
I have worked for Safeway,Wal-Mart,Staples and like retail work.
I have spent many years running juice processing equipment. Filters, Clarifiers, evaporators.
In 92 I got the chance to go to college and became certified in the field of Machine Technology
Started industrial contracting in 2000
Now I want to do pressure washing!!

My last job..That is what 21 megawatts per hour, 138,000 Volts per electrode(X 3 electrodes) 99,000 Amps each looks like in action...some days are more exciting than others... This is a good day.

Did you know we took over 100 dead in Afghanistan and our your principle western allies in the south,

Many of these guys killed and wounded were friends (this happens when your small)

However its understanding that a lot of people dont know that were there... however if you asked your Army im sure they would have a lot of good to say about us.

82 Born
83-95 Crapped my pants
96-99 Fast food, tire stores and school
2000 Graduated
2001 Started buying rental houses, and working for my father{moving
dirt and driving dump trucks.
2004 Started remodeling business and started flipping houses
2008 Started pressure washing. Still have a crew of guys remodeling houses.

I make great money remodeling but it's very stressful. Calculating the time, pressure washing is the easiest money that I make and the least amount of stress.
All in all the best money for me is flipping houses. You cant beat 30,000 to 50,000 for 6-8 weeks of work. But very stressful.
