Ok I think we should give him some more help. I think a list would be good.

Truck and inventory list

4' long wash brush
extendable wash brush around 20'
20L pail of bleach (+ one at home)
20L pail of truck wash soap (+ one at home)
20L pail of light duty acid
20L pail of heavy duty acid
2x empty no lid pail
couple 100' or 150' spare pressure hoses
a way to fill your tank when by a water tap
window sqweege

that should be enough to at least get you doing a variety of jobs. At least you have hot water that makes a few more different jobs possible.

$500 is what I would sell & charge. Would I get them all????? Maybe not, but if there is no profit why do them????

If you're in an area of "Low Market Saturation" you need to get on the ball and get your name out there, but build your business on quality service not low price.

I'm not sure about the rest but if I charged 200$ an hour for travel time I'd be out of work next week. Granted, most of my work is within 15 to 30 minutes away so I tack on a couple bucks for gasoline. I can't rightly charge that kind of money for driving a truck. Being an owner/operator isn't so bad for small jobs like this; I've been doing it for 18 years and it's been fine. With larger jobs I have a few of my retired firefighter friends help for some under-the-table cash and something to do during the day but aside from that it's just me. I've gone down the road of having people work for me and it just didn't work out... the jobs didn't get finished the way I wanted them to. A person can spend years building a good reputation and it only takes a short time to lose it. I don't want to get slammed as a low-baller (I get a little over 200/hr for roofs and a little under for everything else). I guess my point is that there is nothing wrong with working by yourself and for yourself.

no i did not get it. but it was cleaned five days after i put in the bid, and a very lousy job was done. after reading the post again and after gaining some experience i would not take any longer than four hours to clean this building by myself.
