How do you apply your house wash ????

We have a pressure pro 8gpm and we use a ball vavle to downstream our house wash can that hurt the pump?

What About a fatboy?

What about a pest control Gas spryer?

What do You use ??

**another thing does anyone leave hose on there hose reel when in use like if you have 200 ft on the reel and only need 100 how would you keep it from undoing thanks

downstream, but using the right nozzles to draw soap.
downstream means it gets injected down stream of the pump, meaning the chemicals never enter the pump.
my hose reel has a pin to lock in place so it doesn't come undone, yours doesn't?
that would make me nervous driving down the road knowing it could come undone at any given time.

we arent using hose reel right now but i have some now just gotta have time to mount them but i do down stream after the pump but i choke my ball vavle to apply soap it works really good but i think i read on here the other day that it could mess up the pump just wanna make sure

I just downstream it.

I would not use a pest control sprayer unless you want to ruin that pump within minutes and want to buy another pump, most pumps out there are not made to handle the SH.

We used a dedicated pump like a fat boy, we downstream and we also use the gas operated chem sprayers. What we use and when use what, all depends on the job, the surface's we are cleaning and how dirty they are. Yes we leave hose on the reel if we don't need to reel off all of it.

Downstream almost always. Sometimes we use the 12 vt chemical pump or a pump up (small area)

Always pull off as much hose as we need off the hose reel. Check with a pressure gauge how much pressure lose there is running though the reel and 400' of hose versus 200' hooked straight to unloader.

We D/S for house washing. As far as hose on the reel, I only pull off what I need and then lock the reel. I use a bungee cord tied to the line with half hitches to keep my line tight on the reel as the hose will jump and try to work loose every time the trigger is squeezed. I hook the other end of the bungee cord to my ladder rack. Works great for us.

That's how we do it too, it is all based on the job but 90% of our jobs are just Downstream application

You may need to manufacture a brake of some sort to stop your reel from unrolling.
I think that these pictures are fairly self explanatory.Screen shot 2014-05-09 at 11.32.06 PM.png Screen shot 2014-05-09 at 11.31.24 PM.png

Is there any way to downstream with a gas chem sprayer so the SH doesn't go through the pump?

I use the dual pump from Paul and Bill, used to downstream but since I bought that system Im addicted to it. Still use the pressure washer with a ladder saver tip, or a hose barb to rinse. Gives a good rinse and gets the attention of any neighbors watching.

Kind of defeats the purpose of the chemical sprayer. I have never tired it but I am sure there is a way, like a proportioned system that the car washes use, they work on lower pressure. however if you want to downstream I would stick with pressure washer for that application.

Well if all I wanted to do was wash vinyl, a pressure washer is usually more engine than I need, so these gas chem sprayers have an appeal for getting a lot of gpm on a little hp, but they have a very bad reputation for not holding up to sh within the pump. So a typical soap injection (GP high draw for instance) definitely would not work?
