House Washing

Anyone ever have a house door get stuck after a house wash? And stay that way after maybe 2 weeks? And sticky doorlocks?

Not sticking doors but if you don't tape the key holes you will have problems.

That hasn't happened since I quit adding glue to my house wash mix!

It happened to me last summer.

Very nice set of wooden doors. Water got in around the striker plate and the door wouldnt open.

It was back to normal after a few days.

My own home does this when it rains; the wood around the door frames swell a bit in the wet weather. Nothing unusual.

Ahh, the old, my door won't open since I had my house washed 2 weeks ago syndrome ... Can't say that its ever happened to me. .

nope here either, but...i had a key lock that would not work. homeowner called me and i ran over and gave it a shot of wd-40. i have always taped the locks and outlets since and have never been called back to a house for that reason.

My back door gets difficult to open after heavy rains or extended periods of high humidity.

Yes, If some areas of the door are not sealed the wood will expand when wet or when its humid out.

Yes I have on cheap doors that swelled after being wet. Took some time to dry up.

My front door gets hard to open when there is more than three feet of snow on the roof. Thats when I know I better start shoveling.

I have a few doors that swell when it is humid too. Wd40 the locks to fix that problem.
