I am on the ground crew for a local hot-air balloonist. I have been involved in it all of my life (and the rest of my family). Here's a pic of my son playing on the balloon sometime last year.

I intend on owning one someday, eventually.

Ok I need to know, when you go up, what determines where you go? It seem to me you are at the mercy of the air currents.

Yes, you can only go where the wind takes you.

Different wind directions at different altitudes, however.
