The other day on the way home from a job I heard a buzzing sound coming from my Trailer oh course I stopped right away. BUt I found that my rack that I use to carry extra hoses had broke and I had drug my hoses for a little while. My question is one hose has the rubber woren off and is showing the steel brade. Is it ok to still use? I figure I should just trash it but thought maybe it would still be good to use if I get into a pinch. What do you think???

I wouldnt even think about using it for a spare ! That is a explosion waiting to happen, all the pressure will be uneven in that spot and work it over til it explodes. I have only ever had one hose explose on me, the initial blast is bad but then your just losing pressure and having water everywhere. What you might consider is getting it cut and fixed (shorter of course) but from what I have heard on the board, only use that one as a spare as well, (the new crimp just doesnt hold up). Only my opinion !

just cut that section out. I wont lie i use hose that has worn the outside cover. Only in and industrial setting. NOT PUBLIC

I have had hose cut and crimped and continued to use the hose with no adverse effect.
Over time I did trash it, I will use hose with some rubber off but not once you can so enough fo the wire to ask the question you asked.
Like the others said, trash it and buy 3 new ones, that way you have backups and spares with you.
