Hose size with fatboy pump

Those of you that have the Fatboy pump what size hose are you using with it?I just got mine installed and I think I am going to have to upgrade hose from what I have.

I tried it with my 3/8 hose and the pump is just bound up.It makes the pressure so quick it is on/ off constantly.I also have to use 30 amp fuses on it.

Tha pump is pretty awesome as far as output though.

Has anyone tried a bypass with these electric pumps? That would eliminate the switching on and off.

These pumps can't run constantly without burning out the motor. Plus since they run off of a battery, it would drain the power too quickly.
