Hose Reel

I guess I need to be more tactful. The things I say may hurt, but ,nevertheless, the things I say are true.

I think your delivery is fine but I'm thick skinned :slap:

Thanks for including the Ladies! It is a matter of how much you really want to spend on a reel. In most cases, the more you spend the better product that you will end up with. What kind of reel do you have now? You can get one at Home Depot or purchase a Titan Reel (an overkill). We have reels starting at $125 to 700.

Give me a call at 800-519-9279 or email me for some ideas. Lori

Lori Please no soliciting in contractor areas...Thank

Between the Titan and the small Coxreel used to be another Coxreel (250') which got fkt up, by my mistake. I do not like the Coxreels and like so much more the Titan reels. The left Titan is aluminium/stackable, the right one is stainless steel; both with super swivels.

I say Titans all the way!!!

P.S. It seems everything made in Florida is superior than the rest brands :). (Titan, Whsiper Wash..)

That middle hose reel is the kind that came with my Bandit back in 2007 and it is holding up great! I don't think I would use it for pressure hose but with 225' of 1/2" Plyovic hose it is doing good.

I might try the one on the left, looks a lot stronger and talking to guys on the bbs's, seeing the rigs at the round tables, the stackable one on the left is used by a lot of guys and seems to hold up good.

If I can, I might hold out to try some of the RexReels when they come out later this year. With his attention to quality and knowledge of what works out in the field, I am sure that they will be great hose reels.

Dimitar, can you post some more pictures of this truck, it sure is a nice truck!

Hey guys ( and girls) was looking for suggestions on a good water supply hose reel, that would hold 150FT water hose. Do most of you just use pressure washing hose reel even though you dont need the high PSI capability?

Hannay Reels are the best, i have started COX because they have changed them. We are giving them a try.

I am moving to Hannay reels as well on our rigs. The Hannay seems to have a great brake and locking mechanism unlike the Titan or Summit. The Summit brake is absolutely a joke and well worth the call to inform Summit the Crap Brake they are placing on their reels. I have two titan full frame reels (from Bob but not on his site) and like them, they have held up well, brake works well still, and the locking mechanism is good as well but they are tough to get mounted correct and if out of square a touch the lock won't work on them. Again, I would not pass up Hannay again. At a local pesticide shop we get the 18' reels for 250 out the door

I have Hannays that are over 10 years old and used every day. Buy the best and you don't have to worry about replacing. Titan and Cox are in the same category as AR and comet pumps:Garbage.

I can tell why Titans are better than cox since I have used both. I have heard that Hanney are the best, but never seen them in real. I know most of them are motorized, but this would not be comparable.
Can you please specify what exactly makes them better than Titans (manual ones)?

Thanks!

Heavier gauge metal. Larger brake handle. Better backlash tensioner. Full drum. Welded corners as opposed to bolted. I bought two Titans that lasted less than two years. I have 14 Hannay reels ranging from 11 years old to 1 year old. Never had any problems. Hannay reels are on every fire engine in North America, from booster reels to extension cord reels. All of mine are hand crank, no electrics.

William, how much does a Hannay run?

I found one like that but it had a 1.5" hose on it and it was basically a new reel and hose but had been sitting for a while.......but it is electric, just needs the push button, solenoid and circuit breaker for it to be ready to use.

I was thinking of putting this on the big bucket truck along with a pressure washer and tank, looks like it would hold about 500' of 3/8" pressure hose or more!

It is still there but I really have no use for it, if I started washing parking garages then I would get it.
