Hose diameter flow test

I think I'll just stick the end of the hose in a five gallon bucket and time it on my stop watch. Thanks for the reply Tim.

I'm very impressed with your photographs on your website, very well done. You are one hell of a good photographer. Great consistant camera angles and strong composition on your before and afters, makes a huge difference

Thanks Mike, I was digging your site the other day. I always mark the spot I take the picture from so I can get the after as close as possible. The flowmeter is an awesome tool, I can test a homes output in 5 seconds. we are going to fix mount one to our intake on the Isuzu. I sure wish you would come down and do all our decks for us.

Russ, if you're not flowing high gpms it may not effect yours too much. You can help it some if you want. If your swivel is in good enough shape to take it apart without damaging it, you can make it flow better. You can take the outer snap ring off and slide off the "doughnut" part and it will expose a couple of small holes that the fluids travel through. You can "gently" drill out those holes or make some more. When you do this, you make the swivel a little weaker so be sure not to over do it. I did this on my intake hose reel with no problems, but I never checked to see just what difference it made.

i have (2) 3.4 gpm shurflos and 5/8 hose "just for today" --- i plan on changing thosein the next weel or so cause i am building a simulated apple truck ---- you like that chris ?????

Yeah Russ, I do like that!
Is it gonna have the dual tank set up ?

yes chris i will have a dual 225 tank set up
Pulling from the top, at least on the chem side ?
How ya gonna control flow ?

thats a cool little valve !!!!!!!!!!!

more will be revealed chris ,sometimes quickly ,sometimes slowly !!!!!! m just for today
I like it because it insures repeatability!
The numbers on it are suprisingly accurate.

Plus, since it goes OVER the tubing, there is no leaks!

Ask Tim Aselton, or me what chlorine leaks can do to a truck!

I was talking to Tim last night, and he told me about having to replace his whole frame on his truck!

I hate leaks, and I know this valve is kind of "hokey" but it works, and will not leak.

That said, there are other ways to implement a vari flow system, such as a gravity fed arrangement, or inline valves.

just in case you care i am fixing to order the 2 - delavan 5800 series pumps tonight !!!!!! any one know eho has the best price ?
Yes, Lori from pressure washer products in clearwater florida.

Don't know, pride I guess. Some guys refuse to listen or try something new. It's like using a computer that's 10 years old. Yeah it works, slow as hell. I guess if they have the patience and don't want to grow or compete with the big boys then knock yourself out.
You know what they say Mike ? "If ya can't run with the BIG Dogs, stay on the Porch"

Fast forward.
Wow how much the world has changed.
I just built a little system in the truck which has a Emglo which tested at a true 19.6 cfm air compressor and a 1 in air diaphragm pump and 250 feet of 5/8 hose
Massively have you seen the all in one Cleaning Machine from RoofTEC ?
