Hooking up pump

Just pick up this new pressure washer and went with a dual water feed for both sides of the pump 3/4 ID. Also bypass using a ID of 1/2 inch on the 6gmp pump, back to the tank and got rid of the float tank.

I am putting the 2 filters in but not sure if there will do the trick of pulling small sand out? Any ideas would be very much great, Thanks

Jerry is a big fan of the dual water feed. We have more then a few discussions on the subject. It is nice when the trucks are set up in such a way that you can do the dual feed.

Heck that Udor tech basically said they reccomend it anything over 6gpms.I switched to the dual feed and had zero problems.I put two filters on mine but still have the sand in the tank issue sometimes.I guess the only way to eliminate is put a well filter before the tank?

These are nice little filters for tight spaces...

I'd adapt it up to 3/4" strainer size, then back to 1/2" inlet.

Are you coming from your tank with 1 large line and splitting it, or does each line have a separate tap at the tank? If you brought it back to the machine with 1 large line, you could install a good sized pre-filter.

I have 2 lines coming back from the tank. I was planing on running those two filters. But the screens is a little corse I think .
I to also have the same filter for filling the tank. It seems never to be that dirty.
The idea of 2 lines filling that pump is great way to help keep the water flowing. We do have some great guys willing to share there knowlege here.

Scott nice looking setup is this the first time you are using the dual water feed and can you use daul water feed on any size pressure washer or is over kill on the smaller ones.

Yes this is my first time going to a dual feed. I have three 4gpm pw and would hook 2 of them up to get 8gpm when needed, it is a great setup.
Most of it was already there I just added a extra line going to the other side of the pump. And disconted the bypass back to the pump, and cap that at the pump,x and put a 1/2 inch hose for a bipass on it at the unloader.

Most of the water tanks have a bulkhead fitting that is usually anywhere from 1" to 2" above the floor of the water tank so a lot of the sand and dirt falls to the floor and hardly will get sucked out of the tank once it is on the floor.

I would run larger filters, just my opinion. They sell the larger blue bowl filters all over the place there in florida, usually about $25.00 each and they do a great job of catching all kinds of trash and algae that comes off the inside of the tank. I have a problem of algae growing inside my tank no matter how often I bleach it out and pressure wash it, it keeps on coming back, maybe because it is a white tank, I am in the south with high humidity all year long, etc.....

I have one of those large blue bowl filters going to each machine and you can easily see when the filter is clogging so you can clean it quickly.

That is a very nice rig, is that a steam valve on the other outlet of the pump? Is that just a bypass valve or is there more involved in the steam valve system?

Thanks.

I just filter into the tank and have a screen into the pump, I dont trust drawing through the filters. I run a fine filter into the tank since water pressure is doing the work. I use that top screen on the suction hose inside the tank, its big.

Thanks Chris will do on the blue filters, can u pm me where u get them in fl.
That is a steam valve, cool. This is how I was told how it works. It. bleeds water back to the unloaded. Allowing only 4or 5 gal. In the the coil it can very hot. Rather than the full 6 gpm. Ouch. Not sure what I could use it for, but nice have. It also has a 2000 watt gen

Sent you a pm.

I think that you could use the steam for the petrified gum, maybe it will help it come off faster......maybe.
