Hooking a PW hose to a lift

For anyone that has used a lift do you have a way to hook the PW hose up there so you can Powerwash without all the weight of the hose from the ground up tiring you out.

I will be using a lift Saturday and I will be up around 40'. I can't seem to come up with any Idea's to hook the hose into the lift. I'm sure once I'm up there I'll somewhat figure it out but I know there is someone that has a sure fire way to do this.

Any Idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could use a Kellum grip. Its used to grip large cables for pulling cables to be installed. Its typically woven out of stranded stainless steel wire. There may be other trade names for the device. The upshot is that it will grip your hose sort of like those "chinese finger cuffs" without damaging your hose and it would be able to slide up or down the hose to reposition it without much effort.
 
In the fire service we would use a short piece of rope to tie off hoses to ladders. I now do the same with a piece of 1/4 inch rope. I have a snap on the end of the rope which I fasten to something on the roof, like a vent pipe or fan support. Make a simple overhand knot around the hose, this will support the weight of the hose. If the hose is heavy or slippery, use 2 knots to support the hose.

Use a peice of velcro. Make a loop in the hose with enogh on your side to work with. velcro the top of the loop to any rail and you can enjoy working 40 ft from the ground.
