Hook Up Water Tank Different

I need a little help... I can't decide how to hook this up where I can fill my water tank and then use it with the pump but then on the other hand when I have access to a faucet I want to hook up to my float tank and use it.. Any Ideas .. I think this might work ( PHOTO) but not sure.

Hello John B,

We have ours set up for all of the water to go thru the float tank before the pressure pump. We also have an inline filter in the line going to the float tank so all water is filtered.

I tried this and my float tank is way higher up than the bottom of my tank.. I have been thinking about doing away with the tank on this small trailer.. It's only 100 gallons and the machine pumps out 4 gpm. Not much time there ... Like 20 minutes.

The way it is riged now is 2 valves at he pump one for the float tank from the machine and one for the 100 gallon tank.it eorks pretty good .. I have considered just getting one of those Y - Valve garden hose things and running a short piece of hose to the tank top..
Anyway I would like to see a photo of how yours is hooked up...

I forgot to mention, we have a pump supplying our float tank. I looked in my files and can't find any good pictures. I will try to take some and post for your information.

I tried getting pictures but we've got alot of stuff in the way. Did get a few.

The first picture will be of the water tank inlet using a garden hose. The hook up is on the right of this picture. This line leads to the main storage tank (1000 gallons) discharge line. With a tee the water can go into the main storage tank or to our circulation pump.

Next will be the circulation pump. This is the inlet side of the pump with the filter.

The last picture shows the surge tank (float tank) plumbing. The ose with the red line is coming from the circulation pump. The red hose on the right is so we can use the circulation pump to rinse or whatever. The circulation pump delivers around 15 gpm at around 100 psi. Above the electric motor is the surge tank. On the right side is the gravity feed to the General pump.

Sorry everything is so dirty, my guys have been doing government work in their spare time instead of cleaning up the equipment.

Thanks a bunch .. This will help I am taking on this project this weekend ....I found a pump similar to yours in my shop ... Its an electric pond pump though but it does have a pressure cut off .. I think it came out of my dads pond...

I am going to use your drawing and go hook this thing up right... I wonder would a comode ballcock valve work in my big water tank ? i have a 100 gallon but I also have a 225 gallon I just need a bigger trailer...
