Is THAT the new Hurricane ??

Here is my bucket of bolts, an OLD Hurricane.
Mine planes pretty good, but is LOW in the water.

No good for anchoring and fishing in even moderate chop.

Gonna sell it, AND my little Hydra Sport, maybe get a Mako ??

It has Twin 225 Yamaha 4 strokes...:D :D :D It has a small live well , so it can be fished from.But we just go fishing on my buddies boat, and relax on mine..

I fish, just not off my boat..I have a buddy that is a charter capt, i go out with him and catch some serious fish. But when it's relax time we take my boat..

That is the NEW Hull Design!
As you know Nick, everything is a compromise.
A Deep V Hull is best for rough water.
The OLD Hurricanes like mine are very stable laterally due to the tri hull design, and they plane.
BUT, unlike the new ones, are real close to the water.'
Great for skiing, getting drunk, and jumping in the water :)
NO Good for anchoring out at the Skyway because waves wash right over the boat!

Those are Suzuki's, right ?

I have an old Yamaha 125 on mine, just rebuilt carbs, replaced fuel pumps, and power packs/plugs.

The Hurricanes are heavy boats as you know.
No way I would EVER go offshore in mine, LOL
The Skyway is as far as I go.

They are yamaha 225's 4 strokes..

Wow Nick,, first class all the way !
My single Yamaha is a 2 stroke, counter rotating motor, probably one of a Pair.
Russ and Ron gonna be in for a real treat!

Don't know IF I am gonna make the roundtable or not ?
It MIGHT be my girls weekend off, she works at the Jail in Hillsborough County as a Nurse.
She gets VERY FEW weekends off due to shortage of Nurses at the Jail.
She is talking about going over to Daytona for a weekend in a beach front hotel ?
Or maybe just hang out.
She works afternoons, and we see very little of each other.
