I have a roof to clean in the morning and don't have a pump, any suggestions on how to apply the chemicals to the roof. I'm using the apple sauce mix. Can it be ran through my pressure washer if so should I mix it stronger. I thought about using a pump sprayer. Any help would be much appreciated.

You don't run that stuff through a pressure washer, it will ruin the pump very quick!

Short notice, lack of planning, whatever the case may be, the only good way is a chemical pump or pump up sprayer.

Get a pump up sprayer that is rated for bleach use or they will go bad in minutes, I know, I did it before years ago.

When you read the older posts in the roof cleaning section, it will go into detail about the right pumps to use and why, setups, why people choose the pumps they use, etc..... Tons and tons and tons of great info there.

Thanks for the reply. Approximately how much square footage could you cover with a one gallon sprayer.
A one gallon sprayer is gonna make this job into a 2 day affair. You migh get 20 sq ft out of a gallon.

Why did you sell a roof job without the gear to clean it?If you do a bad job you are burning a bridge.

So your saying it would take approximately 100 gallons to due a 2000 square foot home.

Thats 100 trips up and down the ladder to fill your chemical tank. :man_in_love:

Any other way without chemical pump?
buddy if you ever played football the odds of you getting that roof cleaned without a pump are as good as making a touchdown with 1 second in the game and its 4th down and 99.5 yards to go and you have no quaterback.

My oponion, reschedule the roof cleaning, go purchase a pump and hose, also make sure you start early because the August heat will eat up some chems fast and applying with a pump up sprayer will NEVER get it done.

Use a x jet and a 4gpm or less machine, with straight bleach and soap in it. I have done it in a pinch. but a pump is best

I was going to ask all those questions also but since he wants to do the roof without learning how to do them, without having the right equipment, without reading older posts, without learning from someone, without learning from someone else's mistakes, without putting in some time reading, etc....... Then let them learn the hard way, that is what they are wanting to do since they don't want to learn the easier, right way.

All the info on cleaning roofs is there in the archives, if they don't want to take the time to learn, we can't make them do the job the easy way, let them learn the hard way. It is their time, money and professional image. Let them look like a amateur since they don't want to learn.

O Well, let them learn by pump up sprayer, they will really appreciate reading and doing their learning time like a lot of us have done then they will realize how valuable the older posts really are. hahahahahahaha

Is this thread real??? :yikes:
Hahaha! Thats the best response yet! I wonder how he made out. I bet he's still Cleaning the Roof. :thud:
