HELP - Quick connect on top of Big Guy Surface Cleaner

Does anyone know why there is a quick connect on top of the Bug Guy surface cleaner? Is it for ease when you are taking the handle off? I used mine for the first time yesterday and after an hour, I blew apart the O-ring inside the quick connect and water was squirting everywhere at the connection. My brother removed the quick connect and everything seemed to work fine again. I just want to make sure I am not going to ruin the surface cleaner by removing the quci connect. I was running about 3100 psi hot water through it at the time.

is this a new piece of equipment, the O-ring should not have gone that quickly, do you have spare O-rings with you, they are a must.

Kris,
The quick connect is a must for that machine so you can pop on and off the hose without much time wasted. As far as the o-rings go buy a bunch of them, There cheap and there a must. Also buy the tool that is used to pop them in and out. The tool looks like a dentist pick and only cost around $5. Envirospec and other companies sell this tool along with the o-rings.

If your using heat then the o-rings go pretty fast. You should at least get a couple of weeks out of them. You probably had an o-ring that was shot in that Quick connect. Your surface cleaner was checked before you got it and they probably blew the o-ring out making sure your surface cleaner works properly.

One of my surfaces cleaners is the same as yours. Its 30 inches and is made by Elite. I bought this surface cleaner off Delco and its been great. A real money maker!!!!!!!
